Still not a fan of the EOC but I admit, it's not as bad as I thought it would be from playing the beta. I prefer not having to click click click to kill something and in certain areas the Momentum ability is a bit too hard to activate. Take Ice Strykworms for example. Click and wait for it to pop out of the ground, kill it then wait for loot to appear then grab loot and by the time you have gotten the next one to pop its head out of the ground your ability meter has reset. Perhaps it could be a threshold ability instead of an ultimate? Make it easier on those of us who prefer the old style combat is all I'm saying.

Mod Mark, I appreciate your thoughtful post, and will appreciate it all that much more at the end of 2013 when I see that you meant every word you said! I agree that 2012 had some great content. Ports has been my favorite update of ALL my runescape time(since 2005). Honestly, Ports saved you this player. By the time of its update, I was only logging in to do spins once a day, look at my skills and say "Blah!" and log out and go play a game elsewhere. I wish Ports could somehow be extended into a skill of its own!

One more thing I would like to add, and I really hope someone sees my post.. Would be great to be able to talk to a banker (or a butler who can go get them?) and be shown which items in my bank can be stored in my house!

They have recognized their mistakes and told us the reasons. I am satisfied.

I am a 8-year veteran and my faith in Jagex has never wavered. They are only human we must remember, thus are prone to make errors from time to time. But, looking back, I see far more good than bad with even better to come: massive Guthix Grandmaster Quest and two new skills for a start.

In terms of SOF and SGS, the money was needed and those who do not like them, such as myself, need only ignore them.

In terms the EOC...Let us face facts, Runescape cannot survive on veterans forever and with other games becomes ever more articulate it is critical that new players are brought in.

I nearly cried tears of joy when i read the post. (OK not really) But what made me happy was that Jagex finally apologized and wants to interact more with the players. Lets hope they do.

About new quests,

I happen to love them, and I love new ones. I am waiting for the finish of the elven quests, and I am hoping to see the return of zaros (it has been hinted in several quests)
I would hope that the new quests dont take 10 min, i kinda miss having to buy supplies and items for quests, teleporting all around and ***hting numerous bosses. Jagex needs to make another quest of epic proportions! (5+ hours)
Looking forward to 2013! :)

Is this finally the year we can buy useful items instead of pretty items in Solomon's?
Can we ever get a weapon with a decent accuracy without killing in groups, or taking on demi-gods? Definition of decent: Hits monsters more than 1 time in 6...
How about a place we can buy powerful items at a fixed price? (One time only) like the ancient staff?

@pancho. Actually i did think that was a o, my bad. now about "stfu", it's a COMMAND. But how about I rephrase my first comment.

Calling someone a noob just becuase they were expressing their opinion and then ranting about your grievances right after that? Then when you comment me you say the forums is where people express their opinions. YOU ARE A HYPOCRITE.

First of all, let me congratulate everyone at Jagex for another successful year of RuneScape, you guys really do make this game the best I have ever played.

Second, I am glad to see that we will continue to gain insight into the devolpment of the game, the BTS videos are always fun to watch. Next, I think that Mod MMG gave a very good explanation to the SoF and Solomon's store, even though I can see that it is going to good use, I still wish *here would be less of these Micro-payments. Oh well.

Also, I think that the amount of bots compared to this time last year have decreased GREATLY and for that I am grateful, and can say, "Keep it up!".

I am overall pleased with how far RuneScape has came in the previous year, and am looking forward to another great year of my favorite game!

Thanks again,
Sincerely, Arandom Mage. :)

As I player, I see how microtransactions can actually help the game. The new flow of money that they create allows you to produce better updates. I do believe better updates are coming; with two skills and the lore system slated for this year, the future seems to be bright. I mean, the last time we received two skills in a year was way back in 2006!

One of the reasons why I was unsatisfied in '12 was because the quality of the updates didn't seem to increase despite the introduction of microtransactions. Take for example the quests: while the voice acting was nice, they were mostly short and easy. The summer months were very rough; I don't think I have ever seen a worse four-five month period of releases before. It certainly didn't look like the Squeal and Solomon were doing anything other than hogging the newsposts.

But then fall hit, and the good updates seem to fall from the sky. PoP, TzHaar Grandmaster, Evolution of Combat, etc. The last three months have really restored my faith in this game. In fact, they might be my favorite three consecutive months of all time.

I'm looking forward to 2013. I've been very satisfied recently and am optimistic about the near future. But if this summer turns out as poorly as the last, you will have a dissatisfied customer.
