Hi Skillful, 12 Player Moderators Visited Jagex HQ last week and this is one of the topics that generated discussion. They are working with the Jmods to make recommendations around this and many other subjects. I expect that group will probably make a decision on this in the next few weeks.

This was an extremely nice read, thank you very much. As already mentioned though, these are only words but I have strong faith in you actually introducing all this to the live game. I am very excited to hear, see and try what 2013 has to offer! I'd also like to thank you for all the answers throughout the thread, I hope you can dedicate more hours to reply to these as they really mean a whole lot to the community. Once again, thank you; you left me with a very optimistic view!

I actually very much enjoyed reading this post and as a company, being able to acknowledge and accept that you've done things that have displeased a lot of people is a good step. Kudos for that. Admitting some of the promotions were a bit much is a good step too, as it did honestly feel we were being rewarded for some completely arbitrary reason almost every other week.

As for Evolution of Combat. I supported it from the go, because in realising the potential it had, it does allow the game to progress, although many aspects still require balancing. Balancing between PvM and PvP has always been difficult, with high end gear being able to ignore armour bonuses in PvP and still struggle in PvM situations... Notably, Royal Crossbows can tear through almost any gear, making range somewhat overpowered. Anyway, I'm looking forward to the changes 2013 will bring and wish all the best.

Just as an additional note, I was thinking... along with getting involved with more of the community, you should allow some players to help combat bots specifically as I'm sure very community minded players... who may not be the best candidates for Player Mods (such as myself) would make good Bot Hunters. While I appreciate that the bot-detection system is a gradual rollout, those areas previously cleared are having bot nests return to them, such as the Grotworm cave and even the Queen Black Dragon having a working bot script now. Player Based Bot Hunters could do a lot of work at ground level and it would show a leap of faith and trust in some of the community to let people go round and deal with them. Probably not going as fast as the name suggests.
I relish a challenge.

Q) Please consider bringing back free trade restrictions to combat the seemingly endless waves of goldfarmers.
A) We are already looking at this, as I said in the main post we are going to have a dedicated strategy for tackling gold farmers and all the associated illicit RWT activity that it encompasses
