Nice post, looking forward to this years skills coming out mainly
For soloman and sqweel i admit it is a touchy subject for a lot of us, although all extra revenue is very good in terms of liquidity, you should possible make some sort of minigame or something to give soloman coins, albiet make it very hard to get coins. This way the people who want to pay for things, can. People who are up for the challenge can attempt to get coins. There is a certain stigmatism about all these cosmetics.
When you had treasure trail items back in the day of RS 2006 or so, people said nice cav or nice full sara etc. Many of these cosmetic items look a lot nicer than a lot of the oldschool so called 'treasure' trails in the game. If you had created a whole bunch of mosters that dropped a load of these cosmetics, or added some to trails, or to loyalty rewards (cough and backdated loyalty rewards) then i think it would have created a lot more of a buzz last year. I admit the graphics team have been upping there game a lot, its a pity it is not player grafting content tho for a lot of it.
One particular update from last year was the toggling of 99 skills with daily challenges, allowing you to switch off certail skills.
I think this could be done with other features in the game. XP Lamps, Quest rewards etc. It would take a little work for quests, but i would imagine the code being something like this, if your quest reward has xp for something you have 99, then give a general xp lamp or reward in place of the quest reward.
XP lamps would be much more appreciated if you could swap a skill lamp in a skill in whch you have 99, for a general xp lamp. Maybe with new NCP in game.
PS looking forward to the new skills, just don't take them out until i at least get beyond 115 dung
