First of all I would like to thank you for this post, I don't necessarily agree with everything you said but I personally feel this is probably one of the most seemingly honest posts I have seen from Jagex in a long long time.

This brings me onto my first comment, you mention communication, you have with some things been communicating more with players, but one big thing you have been lacking is honesty. You may not always tell straight up lies but a lot f the time it feels as if you are only telling half-truths or spinning the truth to suit your needs. This is *not* a good thing, I want to be able to read what you say and be able to take it on face value, but I haven't been able to do this for a long time. So to keep it short all I have to say is keep yourself open and be transparent. Like I suggested before, people may not always like what you have to say but at least they can still respect you and appreciate you being honest.

On the topic of SGS and SoF
--------------------------
"I won’t sugar-coat this: these additions were - and are - vital for growing RuneScape. They allowed us to double the size of RuneScapes team and keep up the near-weekly game updates. "
---------------------------
That all sounds good in theory, but in reality we seem to be getting more bugs/glitches with the updates recently as opposed to less. Also you say this but them for things such as the holiday events you then say you couldn't produce higher quality rewards/events because you didn't have the resources? You had them before, so why aren't they there now? (Although I will admit it seemed like you did put in more of an effort into the Xmas one).

free members to new accounts has to change .... O_o

2 week trail members abuse has gone on long enough for real......

make so 2 week trail members can only use a few member worlds

make so they can't claim sof member items till pay you 5$ just like new accounts gotta do that to remove trade limit (this will help stop the sof bots)

this will show some your paying members your taking bot issue serious when 2 week members trail gets changed

My biggest concern about my gameplay in RuneScape is how the Combat Triangle has been worked in the EoC, I know it was one of Jagex's main goals is to increase the use of other combat styles such as mage and range.
However; my concern is how difficult it has become to train melee type skills with the release of the Evolution of Combat, because of the "Weaknesses" aspect.

I myself have set a strict rule that my Strength skill be the first skill I max, and then followed by Attack and Defense, because of how much I enjoy fighting as a Warrior more than anything. And when the Evolution of Combat was under development I was really excited to be able to train these in a much better way.
But the problem is with how "Weakness" focused the game is now, it has made it to where I should only fight things that are weak to melee, which is to say all of the monsters that use ranged fighting tactics, and at higher levels I don't see a large variety of them. I like to fight a variety of monsters because I do tend to get bored easily, and at the moment I've been having a very difficult time finding them.

Not to mention me as a level 176 could NOT defeat a regular black dragon with full bandos, Sara's Whisper, and a Dragon Longsword with Antidragonfire Shield, now the black dragon did not cause me much damage either making the fight last closer to forever. But with this same set up I was able to defeat the King Black Dragon(It was extremely tough and the fight was fun) but me being able to defeat him instead of a regular black dragon is... Odd.

In my opinion, Jagex, it should be to where fighting an enemy with it's weakness is infinitely better than fighting it with something different, but this does not mean it should be impossible to fight it with something different. Making all enemies at least defeatable and makes it a lot easier to train the skills you want to train without having to search far-and wide for the right enemy to train them on.

"some of you appreciate the additional choice and customisation options they offer."

What about additional choice and customisation outside of SGS and SoF? This was a feature that used to be available to everyone, but now we have to buy it? Fine, sure have extras in the shop but shouldn't we also getting some with normal update?
Case and point the hairstyles!
Before SGS even existed it was mentioned in a BTS that we would be getting some more hairstyles for our characters, finally more hairstyles arrive and you can only obtain them through SGS? I will remind you again, these were promised *before* SGS existed!

EOC
Well I’m not a fan, but some people are, but I think we can all agree it was simply released too early. It was not finished in any way shape or form and you should have spent more time on it and gathered more feedback. You should have implemented surveys (like the one in the combat tutorial) into EoC for different ranges of content, especially during the beta events. Most people stay far away from the forums, whether they love or hate something, you need to make giving feedback easier and more accessible.

EDIT:
Other than that I'll be watching with interest, the upcoming updates do sound interesting, but I will judge them as they come. At the end of the day I do love RS (That's why I'm here), so I do hope you can work everything out....

I'm very glad RuneScape is evolving.
True, we 'grew up' with the old RuneScape, but alot has changed since we started playing, and I think it is only fair for RuneScape to change as well.
Every change is made through trial and error, and of course there is content that not everyone likes as much, but I think that, overall, RuneScape has improved tremendously, and I can't thank the Jagex staff enough for that.

I'm really curious for what's going to happen in 2013, so obviously I'm going to stick around in-game to see it all happen ;-)
Nothing interesting happens.

Thanks for the 2013 insights of Runescape. I still think that Jagex should stop being 'bias' personally. I feel that all the promotions and stuffs are centered towards people living in the U.K, USA, etc. Look at most of the promotion from game cards, where can you get one in like Asia, etc? I would definitely spend some money for game cards for special promotional items despite my gold premier membership.

And, why is everything (Runefest and stuff) happening in the western countries. I know most of the players probably is from the western countries but you got players from other continents too you know? Have you thought of them? Because we wouldn't want to spend thousands on plane flights, we miss out on like the runefest items...

Hey there MMG,

Looking forward to the 'Fest, although we need enough notice for this.

On the botting subject I have to give you *high five*, I've noticed a significant decline in bots in certain places which is great as it saves me time reporting :P .

Make sure you pop into Mod Harriets FC once in a while to say Hi!

Hi MMG,

Are there any plans to add new items to the loyalty shop? I heard you guys were going to add an option to buy extra bank space using loyalty points, but I'm not sure when that's going to be. My bank is overflowing with stuff and I don't want to spend real money on extra bank space.

Also, would you consider adding Circus costumes to the POH costume room? It would be helpful if you did, that way I could free up some bank space without having to drop them.
