Jagex, let's face it. Hundreds of thousands of players have stopped playing Runescape. This may be because of the SoF and because of the EoC as you may already know. I'm sure more people would actually start playing again if you kept the bots to a minimum (which from what I can understand you're trying to do.) and brought back the old Runescape.
Gerhard, you said you and the rest of Jagex want to listen more to the community. Well, now is your time to start! I'm sure players wouldn't mind paying DOUBLE for membership if that's what it takes to get the old runescape back AND help upkeep the game.
I know this message won't be read by many people, and I know thousands of others have said what I said and thought what I thought, but think about what you've done, Jagex. If something goes wrong, the best time to fix it is immediately. You've already admitted that some things that you've done are bad. We understand you make mistakes because we're all human
, but you need to fix what so many people dislike. Nobody wants to play a game that doesn't have good content.
The only people that are still playing Runescape are people that are trying to make a buck, and people that haven't lost hope yet/played for 5+ years. Runescape is dying slowly, and now is your time to fix it. Do you Jagex employees still have that spark you did 3-12 years ago when you were playing/developing Runescape? Again, I wouldn't mind paying double for membership if things could change and I'm sure thousands of others feel the same way. Twice the membership fee would compensate for a loss of players at first and slowly Runescape would grow again. When was the last time you thought about having a booming Runescape community like it was 5+ years ago? It's about going that extra step, Jagex, and some of us haven't lost hope yet.
