My thoughts on micro transactions are that I understand it's an extra way of income but does everything that comes into runescape basically have to go through it? Why can't you update animations and teleports etc through the game itself. They are years old and most of the stuff on Solomon store is way better than the stuff in game. I can't affored to pay 10 dollars for a teleport animation and neither can a huge part of runescape. I don't see why you can't update the actual game and also make extra stuff in Solomon store. Not just make EVERYTHING through Solomon store. Like Hair cuts for example.. those are so outdated and went a lot of years without having any new ones then when they do come out you can't get them without paying money. So I really hope you guys can find a balance with updating the game and stuff on solomons store.

@Mod Mmg,
Thank you for the 2013 insight. I appreciate how you come back after every 10 or so posting and give some feedback. It is understandable that you can't answer each person on this forum, but I can see how you have answered related questions to one topic and that is good :)

I really would like to see more of you and other Mods visiting other forums and doing the same thing as much as possible.
I wish we could find a better way to communicate in the forums. The forums contain new and outdated threads with good ideas and suggestions as well as a whole lot of mumble jumble incoherent nonsense. I have been posting on a thread which will soon reach a 1year anniversary and it surely would make my day if you or an interested Mod would drop by and make a comment. :)

It can be discouraging as far as morale goes when we don't see a Mod stop by and make a comment.
I see that threads have to be continually bumped to keep it alive. There has to be a better way to communicate through forum threads. If we could come up with a way to have a Mod come in and address the thread, make a decision and lock the thread. These are just some potential things that Jagex Mods can do for improving communications forums 2013.

Thank you and wish all a happy innovative and prosperous 2013!

Hey mmg (or any mod rly) Will stats ever be raised to 120? Will the new skills go to 120? I think that all skills (at very least all non-combat skills) should be raised to 120. Think of all the update possibilities! New equipment, new bosses, new areas, new quests, basically could triple the game content! Not all at once, of course, but over time ya know?

Have you seen the videos on youtube where that guy made 120 capes and emotes? You guys should totally give him a job, those emotes rock.

Hmm... Will you ever bring Runefest to Australia? :C I wouldn't mind going to a Runefest except I can't afford to fly overseas. :C

Other than that, how will you implement the combat changes for EoC to make it so skills matter? I have a suggestion on the recent Og Blog thread on Page 42 if you're interested in reading it, MMG. - QFC: 198-199-34-64200271 (page 42 for my suggestion on fixing the skill/gear ratio)

My other query pertains to trade limit, how would you make it fair for everyone?

My suggestion would be to make it a standard of 50K for a new player (F2P/P2P), and then tier it up on your Skill Levels until you reach a maximum of 250K for maxed skill total (This is so F2P only accounts maxed can still trade effectively) and then if you have been friends with someone for a year+ to have an unlimited amount of trade (because after all, you want to be able to help your friends out eh? :D )

On top of this, please make an attempt to communicate more often to players. There are some cases where it has taken weeks, months or even years to get a simple issue fixed, mainly due to an ingame bug that needs fixing. Dedicate three months per 12 months stacked out over a 4 month timeframe to just fixing bugs and not releasing content until we are satisfied it's fixed.

Thanks!

Thank you MMG for that post.. I feel more secure about the SoF and "gambling your way to success in RS with irl cash"

Thank you for banning the bots...

Love those kinds of posts and looking forward for more (What's coming and what's going, Behind the scenes special edition, etc.)

I know this might seem odd that I noticed, and I doubt you'll like hearing it, but I'll say it anyway.
I agreed with, and appreciated most of what you said. But, at the very end of the update you said that the free to play community should thank the pay to play community....
I know that the member's community is important, and keeps a steady stream of money coming in to you, Jagex, but the free to play community is important too! (The members do have to come from somewhere, they don't just appear, you know!) The free to play people say many good things about this game to their friends, just as I have. A lot of the f2p community are also former members, who havn't got a chance to renew their memberships, or don't have a lot of time to invest in their accounts, so they skip out on membership some months.

At any rate, I'd like to see some new things for the free to play community, and perhaps more... different types of weapons, like, instead of just the normal like the regular sword, the longsword, 2h, shieldbow, shortbow, staff, wand...ect. Perhaps add some new ones? It'd be cool to see some more weapons like the abyssal whip, only, less abyssal and more... I don't know, metal? :P
And maybe a tougher boss monster for free-to-play. If you've checked out Elvarg lately, it doesn't seem very strong anymore.

I also think it'd be cool to see some more emotes in the loyalty shop, not in Soloman's store. Let's be honest, times are tough, not many people have the money to go buy Runecoins just for an emote!

Last, I'd like to thank you. Runescape has been my favorite game for almost five years now, and I have logged in at least four times a week, most weeks more. I have bought several memberships, rarely in a row. As for the people who complained about the EoC, I honestly enjoy combat more now, because of the fact that its more interactive. I always hated the fact the character's fighting wasn't more dynamic. Slash, block, slash block... ^_^

EoC really made me love magic combat a lot more ^_^ , though 4 big things I had been mad at was the fact that bots seem to private message me, I couldn't dual wield when EoC came out, my new dog, Patch, wasn't a follower, and dungeoneering bosses had become easier! I can't wait for the new quests this year! I can't wait to team up with Owen, and the Raptor!

@ Mark Gerhard

There has been a lot, and I mean A LOT of hate against Jagex as I am sure you know in recent months. But as a whole I think you all have done a very good job up to now. I, for one, have no doubt for your work in the future.

I LOVE runescape.

Being 21 years old and still in-love with Runescape has got to count for something. I have been dubious about a few updates, not going to lie but have grown to love them.

Thank you for the years of online pleasure of you and your team have provided for me and many other players.

I literally cried when I logged on and saw nobody in the clan :'( I waited 7 days until I realised that none of them were coming back. It was a huge disappointment for me as my friendships with some of them had gone on for around 5 years. This is why Eoc is bad.
