If EoC is one of Runescape's best updates, how did it manage to make a estimated 100,000 players quit?

Think about it, of couse theres going to be more positive feed back on the forums, all the people who disagree with it have already quit and moved on to another game.

I'm 50/50 on the eoc, I don't like how theres no stat bonuses other then lp and "armour" but i like the ability to use abilities and take down bosses in a special way.

Althought it's ruined player killing, player killing use to be perfect switching + specs and luck. Now it's button mashing and luck.

I don't necessarily hate EoC, but I enjoyed Runescape more before EoC.

I'll continue playing, but if another update this big comes out, and it has the same affect as EoC, I'll be canceling my memberships.

just wanna ask this mod a question he wrote that we couldnt have eoc and normal runescape and do updates for both well i think that is a big fat lie because you guys where doing updates for both and using the runescape severs for eoc trial so to be honest i have quit i did try eoc and it failed so you cant say your speaking the truth i reckon you could run 5 eoc worlds for the eoc lovers and the rest of the worlds back to how they where cheers

As a person who has played Runescape right since classic was the only basic 2d version available and seeing Runescape 2 come into play I feel that the whole EOC is an absolute load of cr*p! Jagex have done nothing but progressively destroy the game ever since they started getting too big for themselves!

The game genuinely used to be about fighting skill! Now it is all ruined. You took away the Wilderness and now you have ABSOLUTELY RUINED combat.

You used to have a legendary game and now you ruined it by trying to OVER-COMPLICATE things.

And I can tell you now that you have lost a significant number of players as a result of your so called "updates"

For the sake of all old-school players, please stop trying to fix something that isn't broken! You have absolutely DESTROYED this game you bunch of thick *******!

Sadly enough I got my real life mates to play Runescape again. Then we all members and EoC update came out. we were like..... MMMMM this combat system is bad. Might as well go back to level 90 raiding on World of warcraft. That day 10 memberships were gone with 1 update.

With World of wacraft every expansion, about 2 months before its released, over 50 gaming friends come back online. 1 week before released my guild has 200+ active members until we raid and finish the expansion then it drops.

Never have i seen an update destroy a game.
original gbro111 was runescape classic, and know i can finally rid myself of runescape. With this update its only world of warcraft and League of legends for me. See runescape had a hold over me, it was different to WoW and i played it for 11 years. Every few months i would buy membership and get back into runescape for a few months.

Developers, did you not do economics at university?

If demand for the game is decreasing, you dont copy other games.
You do advertisement and fix current issues (botting and gold selling).
Not destroy your customer base to replace with gold farmers
