Well let's see, as a Vertern player. I know the difference. I know how this game used to be. it didn't need "bling" to be popular. Any good game needs is a hiscores board and someone to be better then and to be challenging but not impossible
. But they all change into this monstrosity.
It was simply addictive, everyone can say it was. But now, honestly, (I do not combat at all and never will never have) I find the update annoying to play with, anything as simply as teleporting to a different location, I have to go to the tab that isn't rubbish. And questing seems more of a pain then it's worth. I liked it for it's storyline. The game would be playable if in the options you could "hide" all the new things.
I'm scared to do certain things, cause it makes it feel like i'm cheating. Money is becoming useless, you can get it for just clicking a button.
When you have everything, this game is boring no matter what. I liked the challenge of "earning" my money. This update and updates similar to Jagexs apatite for money, is slapping the faces of the players who worked for it.
In my onion, i feel runescape was so popular BECAUSE it was so simple. It stayed to its roots. While other games changed to a similar combat method they slowly became unpopular. I've seen many games die Because the combat will soon be "if i click 39274 i win."
I see the need for food, pots, and anything becoming pointless. Honestly, this games combat is becoming a mashing buttons game. And it makes me sad.
And the fact it's blatantly obvious its for the new players. It seems everything i do for money will eventually die. I was getting herbs from my kingdom today, realizing no one will want potions soon.
I'll play till i get the 99 im after.(if i don't i'll have the sinking feeling.)
Then i'll cancel my membership.
it's a good game but for worth paying for anymore.
