@Mod Debrin
Greetings! First of all I would like to congratulate all of the Jagex staff on the amazing rework they have done to the new combat system which gives RS so much more depth. The animations are very smooth and a lot of problems I had found in the beta are now gone. I completely love the EOC and look forward to continuing my adventures in RS. That said, I would like to provide some ideas as to what I like and don't like and what could be improved.
1.) Staffs being two-handed. Now, I know for this problem one could easily swap their 2 handed staff for a wand if the player wants to wield a prayer book or book of magic, shield, etc. but there are staffs that have unique abilities like the polypore staff, staff of light, etc. that its a shame that can't be used with something on the shield slot any longer. I suggest maybe consider making wands that have the same abilities as these, like a polypore wand for example, much like you did with ahrim's staff. You could make a wand that has provides less damage than the staff since it can be wielded with a shield, to keep the balance.
2.) Can something be done about the multi-combat being everywhere now? At least I suggest to tone it down a bit because the other day I was down in the crypts in barrows and I kept getting attacked by every critter there which made me consume a lot more food than before, and every time I only attacked one to raise my "creatures killed" count I got mobbed and had to use up much more food.
3.) There is some unbalance with some of the monsters. For example, one would waste more food and time now in lesser demons than much more higher level monsters.
4.) The combat triangle is a bit TOO harsh now. For example, a warrior stands absolutely NO chance against a mage and so forth. There should be at least some chance for the opposite style of combat to be able to win, but I can, for example easily take down a level 200 warrior with only 76 magic, being almost 50 levels lower in combat.
