You're quoting people on social media who are only there to push information that nobody else can verify . Of course they're going to make their efforts sound good; you don't upset the Reddit mob, and better pacify it when they're angry
No I don't believe it, because I witnessed first-hand the lack-of moderation . Although botting in that screenshot case could easily just mean interacting with the game world and collecting resources; chat bots I'm sure have a lower priority, or aren't even on the map apparently.
I gave the easy logic to detect bots, because no real player is spamming like that. And if a real person is spamming like that, they are... spamming and should be moderated. Do you regularly associate with people that post Discord urls multiple times a minute, for good reason? And do these people repeat the same messages for hours on end? I'd be real curious to meet such a person who would be doing that for reasons not breaking any ToS
If Jagex would have just acted on one of the reports I did in a timely manner, I wouldn't be here questioning their whole moderation policy. This is still not an issue in other MMORPGs I've paid for and played.
