Winds - I guess I do like the idea of this thread (the more recent way of it being used). However, I decided to have a quick skim over the opening post again. I still feel that the openening post is disjointed from how the thread is currently being used.
I don't really see why the opening post of a thread that is being used to collate and showcase RuneScape and Jagex-related information to forum users should be about something different to that (i.e. more about criticising another community platform).
Everyone's entitled to their opinion I guess. However, I still feel that the thread's disjointed and I don't really feel that criticising communities on the RSOF is the right thing for this platform. Like I said before, yes, Reddit has done similar if not worse on their platform towards RSOF. However, you guys liked RSOF and it's rules. I don't really see how you can complain about how other communities operate when you are in a community of your own in which you are happy with the way it operates.
Criticise Jagex? Fine I guess - constructively then in W&F. Non-constructively and/or "more anger-filled" then it goes in Rants. That would be classed as feedback on the way the company works or the way that the game is being updated etc. But criticising other players or negatively targeting other players or groups has never been allowed. I don't see why Reddit should be the exception on RSOF if you are supportive of RSOF's rules. I can understand why some people wouldn't like it, but hey, the forums work how the forums work...
Overall, I'm basically saying that I believe that given the way that this thread is currently operating, I believe that a new opening post should be provided to reflect that this is the new intended course of the thread (i.e. via a new thread). At the moment, it almost seems like two very different types of topic rolled into one thread.
