02. Aftershock stops movement for months now this has caused so many issues with Araxxor, Vorago and Telos submitted 5 hours ago

OP: Currently if aftershock procs, your character stops moving. This is extremely annoying and deadly at places such as Araxxors poison spiders or swipe or Vorago HM Teamsplit + Waterfall phases, as well as being killed by Telos with his tentacle strike or falling rocks on P5. Not sure if this was intended but can it please be changed this bug is now in the game for months can it please be changed

RSOF Fansite Support - Information Thread

I was looking on the Official Jagex Approved Fansites to see if there were any discussions going on about the 'pending' titles of appreciation that may be awarded by Jagex in the future to the more traditional fansites that are listed on the RSOF Fansite Support - Information thread.

While using the handy dandy links listed on the Fansite Support - Information, Qfc 254-255-304-65216439 thread & visiting these fansites it dawned on me (again), that maybe, just maybe, no one has bothered to audit the fansites listed in awhile.

During the last restructuring of the fansite system that occurred a couple of years ago, an audit took place. A few of the fansites were given the 'boot' that were listed on the previous fansite list for being inactive, which is understandable. A number of smaller fansites were also given the 'boot' from the previous fansite list too, as well as, some of the non-English fansites during this time for a variety of reasons rather than being inactive.

The audit, according to Mod Infinity during this time indicated that this audit was done by an 'independent member of the Community Management team' not by one of the Jmods who were involved with fansite support at the time. That implied that the reductions or additions from the previous fansite list to the current fansite list would not appear to be biased.

Since there is some focus on fansites at this current time then I thought it might be worthwhile to mention that maybe it might be the perfect time for another such 'audit'.

NOTES ON THE FANSITE LIST

It appears it may be time for another 'audit' of the Official Jagex Fansites since *one* of the seven Official Jagex Fansites that are listed appears to fall into the category of being inactive since it hasn't updated its home page with anything RS related since April 2015 & the opening post on its home page directs the user to 'sign up' for a new website that has nothing to with RS.

It also appears that maybe two of the Jagexs Recognised Fansites may no longer exist.

It also appears that maybe two of the Foreign Language Recongnised Fansite may no longer exist either.

It also appears that maybe two of the Foreign Language Recongnised Fansites may be what could be called a Clan Site rather than a Fansite.

I am also not sure why Jagex hasn't updated the name 'RuneWiki' on the fansite thread either. It is called The RuneScape Wiki & since Jagex has gotten rid of their wiki site there shouldn't be any problems calling the site by its name now.

IMO, the criterion for fansites appeared to have experienced a dumbing down during the last audit. This appeared to have been done in order to include both RuneScape Wiki & Reddit as 'fansites' even though they are not fansites in the traditional sense of what a fansite is.

Even by today's standard a typical fansite would still be considered forum based rather than being a 'page' on a social media networking/news platform or part of a open-source software platform.

When traditional forum based fansites get lumped in with 'fansites' that are hosted on those types of platforms the attention & support tends to be focused towards those fansites on those types of platforms rather than on the fansite hosted on the forum based platform.

When the attention & support appears to be given to 'fansites' on those types of platforms in lieu of the traditional based fansites it tends to marginalize the traditional based fansites contributions even though these forum based fansites were there for Jagex way before any of those platforms became common place.

It is a bit disheartening to see that the traditional forum based fansites that have been around for a longer period of time have to take a back seat & wait to be recognized.

The OP of this thread was announcing to the Sals Runescape community that Jagex was awarding the ingame 'the Wikian' title to the RuneWiki community fansite.

The last post to this thread (posted 40 minutes ago) link is titled: ' here have some false hope '.

It links to Mod Shaunys comment on Reddit where Mod Shauny 21 hours ago states: 'It doesn't just stop at the Wiki, eventually we can begin to distribute the other fansites as well, I talked about it a bit on RSOF, but the long term plan isn't just to make it a "one site only" thing.'

Hopefully what Mod Shauny has said rings true for the other fansites & that the Sals RuneScape community also gets a title for the members of their community too. After all Sals Runescape has been around far longer than RuneWiki has.

MY RECENT EXPERIENCE

Commentary

Was surprised to see that the home page on [EDIT] hasn't been updated with anything RS related since 25 April 2015 (considering who the Leadership Adviser(s) is/are for that fansite).

Was equally surprised to see that the latest home page news post that was made wasn't for anything related to RS but rather an introduction to a new website & sign up link for a news website called [EDIT], that was posted by [EDIT], Leadership Adviser on 02 Feb 2016. According to the FB page for this site its Mission statement is: To fuse news, entertainment and community like never before.

This was a bit troubling to see since I did follow the link Jagex provided me to follow to one of their official fansites. Has Jagex gave this fansites new website their official blessing too? It wasn't a link to a clan forum for the fansite but for website that had nothing to do with RS.

What was even more disappointing than that was that while I was looking at the [EDIT] forums to see if there was any discussion going on about the new fansite titles there, that the most current posts made in one of their forum sections was made by someone advertising gold for sale.

There does appear to be some activity on this fansite in the clan & forum sections. I truly do feel for the remaining community there that in spite of this fansite appearance of being neglected by its administrators long ago, they remain.

Is there no oversight anymore when it comes to Jagex Fansites?

It was always my impression that being a official fansite is a big deal, (or at least it use to be). Jagex use to set high standards for their fansites. What the heck happened?

Even though I don't post to this fansite, I do visit & on the off chance that one of the [EDIT] administrators may see this post here on RSOF, ( ;) ), here is a bit of feedback for you, IMO, your fansite appears to be a hot mess.
