@Tren, hi, thank you for your kind words, I am glad you appreciate my time & effort.
As you are aware I have been posting Jmod Tidbits to RSOF since Jagex first started using FB, long before they started using Twitter & Reddit on a regular basis. About 1/3 of the Jmod Tidbits I have posted to RSOF are in relationship to player accounts, high profile player issues, botting, rwt'ing, scaming, ingame gambling, bans, hacks, false bans, commission staking & the like. As a matter of fact, CM has thanked me a number of times for taking the time to post that information here too.
This is the first time in almost ten years of posting Jmod Tidbits to RSOF that a Jmod Tidbit posted to the forums has been hidden from the RSOF community.
No hard feelings Tren, I have no problem with your moderation at all. In closing though, I have to thank you because believe it or not this has made my day.
Be sure to watch this space for the upcoming post on Jagex's Charitable Giving Initiative.
This post should not be construed in any shape or form as 'arguing a moderation decision' but should be viewed in the spirit that it is written, to inform readers of this thread about the future of Jmod Tidbits.
Commentary
Hi, since a number of folks have asked me what it was that I had posted to RSOF that was so awful that it had to be hidden away from the eyes of the community that I thought that I would take a minute to clarify.
I would like to assure all of you that no, I did not have a sudden fit of madness & randomly post a image of something that would have broken any of the image posting rules, sorry to disappoint anyone on that account. Nor was what I wrote in my commentary, IMO, out of the ordinary either.
What I did post was a Jmod Tidbit, no different than any one of the hundreds of other Jmod Tidbits that I have posted to RSOF over the last 10 years. Yes, it did deal with a high profile issue, but that is no different than other similar high profile issues that have been posted previously to RSOF as a Jmod Tidbit over the years.
To also clarify, no, the Jmod did not have a fit of madness either so don't waste your time searching for something that a Jmod said on Reddit that was worthy of censorship.
This is the first time in almost 10 years of posting Jmod Tidbits to RSOF that this has ever happened. The bottom line is that what a Jmod has communicated on Reddit has been censored on RSOF.
I am in communication with the CM team regarding this as you can note by Mod Matthew answer on the MRT. Hopefully, there is agreement that there should not be any censorship parameters on RSOF when it comes to posting what a Jmod has communicated on social media being posted to RSOF too.
Under the current climate I am holding off posting a number of Jmod Tidbits that I have until I find out if there will now be censorship parameters for posting future Jmod Tidbits to RSOF.
