I empathize with those of you who have dedicated a lot to this place, because it is as much a place as the game is. The forums has its own aesthetic, it is sequestered from other media and advertisements, and, more importantly, it has a community operating within. Similar to RS evolving from a MUD, the forums are sort of a stand-alone dungeon built up in layers over the years. It would be a crying shame to dispense with that continuity, because it sounds like for many of you that continuity was what was holding you here; the impetus to continue has been maintaining friendships and storylines.

Other 3rd party site runescape discussions always end up on some random tangent, rs official forums at least made attempts to "stay on topic".

Please do not remove the only logical place for help/discussions for rs.

Jmods need to take a more direct approach to its community and stop hiding in the socials.

I Citi Bank ask Jagex not to remove the forums.

There are many of us who only connect with each other on the RSOF outside of the game. It’s the only way I interact with some of my RS friends on a regular basis. And the fact that that happens here, on an official Jagex platform, is unique and powerful. There are ways to make the forums more engaging with minimal incremental investment from Jagex. I used to pay membership to just post on the forums.
