@Dilbert2001:

I'm referring to the process of reviewing FMR throughout the years, as that's what the thread's topic is. There has never been just one J-Mod assigned to FMR since reviewing FMR, taking care of the Forums and Forum Mods, for that matter, it's already included in the duties and responsibilities of every member of Community Management (See: Head of CM - Q&A ). In Mod Kari's case, she was the only one assigned to such a role, but it didn't mean that Mod Hooli couldn't step in. As we know,
we expect Mod Hooli and/or Mod Miva to fill in her shoes
:) .

That's also what I expected, except there can also be more than just Mods Hooli/Miva and perhaps Mods AI/Jagexa among other Jmods picking up duty of FMR.

Well, yea, as long as they are members of Community Management -- Mod Hooli, Mod Miva, Mod X and/or Mod Y --, their position entails looking after FMR :) .

Jagex doesn't have to designate a single Jmod to handle FMR. I remember there was a time Mods Lee and Poerkie adjudicated FMR together. Of course, they can add Mods AI, Jagexa or the likes as many social media are already employing.

The other way is Jagex doesn't have to assign any Jmods to FMR. They only need some Jmod(s) to read the comments and reply only when they think it is applicable to the message boxes of the users. This is how Reddit handles complaints of subreddit moderators. If the complainers don't receive any message from Reddit, it automatically means no action taken or actions taken but they don't need to know what have been done behind the scene.

So what exactly are you getting at, then? Last I looked, this isn't Reddit.

This isn't Reddit doesn't mean Jagex can't learn from moderation procedure of other FORUMS. Besides, using the Reddit-like email/message box for communication has also been proposed in this thread by somebody else before me. I really really don't see why you don't question them before if you have a problem with it.

I don't recall saying I had a problem with it, so don't go mis-attributing things I said to fit your agenda.

Jagex has steadfastly demonstrated since their inception that the last thing they're interested in doing is learning from other systems, period. Jagex goes their own way, for better or for worse.

I mean look at phpBB as a prime example. It's freeware, and it has features and customizability that does circles around this ancient platform we call the RSOF. We're talking about comparing a Maserati to a foot scooter here.

Mod Kalaya
Mod Neena
Mod Shauny
Mod Balance (Head of Community at that time)
Mod Matthe
Mod Cam
Mod Meadows
Mod Poerkie

Most, if not all, of those people no longer even work at Jagex.

We had Mod Kari, and only Mod Kari, for, what, pretty much her entire tenure at Jagex, and she one day decided "eh fuck FMR" and was able to keep working at her job and neglect it at her leisure. Or so it appeared.

Man, I should apply to work at Jagex. I could be Mod Sheev.

Boss: Hey Mod Sheev, can you go do this please?
Mod Sheev: Lolno
Boss: Lmao k enjoy your 2 hour paid lunch break buddy!

I mean, FFS. :@

Reddit is not a game, it is a forum-like platform similar to RSOF. Jagex doesn't only learn from, but also have their moderation team on the r/runescape and r/2007scape subs.

I literally just told you to stop mis-attributing things I say to fit your agenda, and here you go again doing exactly that.

Nowhere did I say Reddit was a game. Now, I'm going to not ask but tell you to stop this, and with that I'm done engaging with you.

I never said you said "Reddit was a game". I never attributed anything YOU say to fit whatever agenda. When I wrote "Reddit is not a game", I referred to what Jagex learned from moderating r/Runescape and r/2007scape and we know Runescape and OSRS that the Redditors referred to as 2007scape are GAMES.

All those Jmods who managed FMR started on managing on social media like Reddit before they moved on to the RSOF FMR. They have learned moderation on the likes of Reddit already before they brought what they learned to FMR. Hence, they should be familiar in applying what they have experienced on moderation on public forums like Reddit and games forums like r/runescape and r/2007scape to FMR.
