I also experience this BUG sadly. Haven't been able to log in for 12 hours so leaving my name as well on the list.

I recently scrolled through this and read what
Mod Lyon
wrote some months back, and whom kind of employee is eligible to send such poor communication to the player base?

- 'It is a feature' and literally admitting losing a portion of players to an issue with the system is acceptable, as long the servers are running for the maturity. What kind of treatment is this?

Sadly I can be added to this list as well.

I have been playing this game for 15 Years (on most days), been a premium member for many years.

I usually get on around 8am (Australian time).

For the last three days around this time of day I have not been able to get back on to the game (reported on different post).

I find it very disappointing that a fix hasn't been found. How many people have to report this issue for it to be looked into by Jagex staff?

Funnily enough I can bring my alternates on without issue.

Are Jagex going to refund people for their premium membership or portion of it, as they are unable to provide full service?

A fix - for some.

1. Mobile Authenticator.

2. Link a Steam Account with your Runescape and successfully login ONCE.

One, if for some reason, your account is the target of malicious activity. Then a Mobile Authenticator can slow this down, and or stop the attempts at the door.

Two, if you log in once. You do not need to log in again. I encountered this bug, and Steam fixed it for me.

Steps:
1. VPN/or Mobile Data.
2. Link Runescape/Steam
3. Login once.
4. Disable VPN/Data, use normal internet.
5. Login.

/or

1. DNS flush,
2. Port Forward.

I have the same issue since today, I can't login on the website nor in-game from my home IP.

If I login on my phone it works fine.

I have tried pretty much every possible suggestion, restart modem, flush dns, link account to Steam/Google, add authenticator, wait 2 hours before retrying, etc, but nothing works.

How is it not considered a bug when a security system starts randomly IP banning legitmate players who have paid for your service, and are now unable to use your service?

This needs to be fixed asap...

There are various types of shit companies in the world, and then there's Jagex. This issue has been around for more than a year now, and you guys really need to stop telling people "it's a game feature".

Call it as it is, a bug that you have found no solution to. In fact considering how long it has been around for, I have my doubts if jagex actually even cares anymore about fixing it.

Telling us in a podcast every few months is not enough anymore, just tell us if Jagex is capable of fixing this issue or if players should take their money elsewhere to a more deserving company.

No longer bothering supporting tickets, as I have submitted at least 10 by now, and I am certain there have been 1000s of tickets sent to you people, to no avail.

This is a new pathetic, even for a company like Jagex that is known for becoming a lower grade company year on year. Even steam release cannot help if you guys don't get your shit together.

It ain't a security feature mate, it's an excuse by them to avoid having to fix this bug. Bunch of pathetic liars.

I have waited 17 hours before retrying login again, and I still can't login.

I would like to be able to play the game I paid money for, any timeline on a fix? We really need better communication from Jagex on this issue.

Why doesn't a password reset release the lock at least?
So players can at least get out of this situation themselves, and continue playing the game they paid for...
