Too many login attempts

Ok, so I have found something close to a workaround taking in mind Jagex obviously give a damn about this.

What I'm basically doing is

1) Connect with a VPN (Hotspot Shield is the only one working for me)
2) Stay in game for 2 - 3 mins with the VPN on
3) Disconnect/Stop the VPN

Game will attempt to reconnect with your normal IP

PROS
- You can play with your normal internet, so no more lags (kinda)
- You don't waste data consumption of the VPN (for the free ones of course)

CONS
- You pretty much can't either lobby or hop worlds so it's fucked up
- It's a fucking annoying thing to do when Jagex should be fixing his shitty login system for our old accounts

Has anyone test it out the thing about linked your account with a google account? Any good results?

So I was able to play all week ... until now ... which is Saturday 10:24 am est ... I finally got a decent time (for est) to finish the last task (warbands one) on my wilderness achievements and now I can't .... I knew as soon as login page loaded I wasn't gonna be able to log in

My game crashed and now I can't login again. 4 out of the last 5 days. What an utter JOKE this is and the same messages are still there - ... JAGEX your security is a joke and your level of responsibility is even worse! Rank #56 Overall. 8000/1****? Hard caskets stacked. 7000/8****? Elite caskets stacked.

Would you trust a Price-checking service that has bots running in W2 advertising themselves constantly? I wouldn't!

It used to happen during the week but ( says in a english accent: it got betta though ) now it only happens on weekends

By the way everyone. In regards to Jagex saying that only a "small" amount of their players are affected by this - let me quote current Runescape News:

"In total we’ve identified around 4000 players who attempted the exploit. There was no noticeable effect on either the economy or XP gained on the day as a result of the exploit due to the low volume of users who abused the exploit."

So out of all the people playing Runescape 3 in that 6 hour period this Oddment/TH oversigt was going on, they call 4000 players a "low" amount. There is no way in hell that 4000 accounts in a 6 hour period is a "low" amount!! Jagex and their words. Rank #56 Overall. 8000/1****? Hard caskets stacked. 7000/8****? Elite caskets stacked.
