Nothing is being mixed up here. The FMods and LMods are constantly working together to ensure the forums are the best they can be, and there has been discussion about both this thread and your other one, just as there is discussion about all posts that the team feels the need to discuss.
In this case, Tuffty himself replied to you regarding how the team deals with categorizing posts and how easy it is to move them. There's nothing else to be said on the matter.
With respect to your other post, are you suggesting members of the Mod team are missing things/failing at their RSOF duties due to playing on multiple accounts? It seems your threads are starting to bleed into each other now.
See, there you go again mixing up two threads two seperate issues reported, teams mixing up both reports because you only see one and the same person and that's your focus. Again you are mixing up both threads including the reports just dragging the entire thing off-topic. Thanks but no thanks, however I am chained by your miss-management.
No one is getting either thread mixed up. Trust Me.
The replies here are for this thread. The replies on the other thread are for that. Not mixed up at all.
All your reports were checked several times by several people. You just have to take our word for that. Also the replies to you on Forum Help thread about said reports.
So lets keep each 1 separate so were not confused.
So lets refresh the topic incase it's been lost here.
Your main topic is Misplaced threads in General chat that you feel are pushing their luck and the boundries of the Guidelines yes?

Lets get back to the topic.

This thread, in General, got a lock message yesterday but the LMod alike more instances in the past didn't lock the thread but after a long time, the thread stayed open. LOL, multi-task.
This problem, in General, is not a mistake nor an issue of Moderation
...
However you certainly have made it a moderation disaster of a huge magnitude ... and don't give me that "Lets get back to the topic" because it really is, is your miss-management after all.
Bugs within the Forums. You know of a few like making multi posts etc. Bugs full of them.
Many times F-Mods and CM staff and Jagex hit lock and post and some time later it's not been locked. It's a well known bug thats just been left and not fixed.
Since this thread was posted some of the veterans withdraw themselves from posting misplaced threads and more of moderation increased severely.
So was I soo wrong?
General changed but threads about the game etc. could be distributed better off to the places they need to be in, or did you change your mind?
No one has changed their minds. We have Guidelines what to do with misplaced threads.
Forum users can also alert F-Mods and CM Staff to a misplaced thread via the Forum Help thread. Which has been done for several threads. If reviewed the Mod checking it feels it needs moving it will be moved. If it's borderline then it will be reviewed by several F-Mods and CM staff and a call made later when time permits.
The Forums are still the same. nothing has changed other then more use of Forum Help. Which we can put down to the lockdown. More people been making use of the Forums which has been good to see. I'm sure you will also agree.
Comprehensive Account Security
I can assure you that moderation in the General Forum has not changed as a result of this thread.
Moderation in the General Forum has always been a balancing act. As has been mentioned in many of the posts in this thread, it is often the first forum that players go to when they want to post something. As such, we'd like the forum to be a welcoming place for a user's first forum experience. If the first page of General is all padlocks, that is not a very welcoming sight and could discourage players from using the forums. (Years ago we requested a different icon than the padlock to denote moved threads, such as a green arrow, but it wasn't possible, so we're stuck with the padlock for now.)
On the other hand, because it is often the first stop players make when they visit the forums, it sees more misplaced threads than other forums do, as well as threads that shouldn't have been made (spam, naming & shaming or posting phishing links). Over half of the threads posted in General could fit just as well, if not better in one of the other forums. However, if we moved them all, we'd have that wall of padlocks that we want to avoid.
We want to make sure that the users who do post there get the answers and help that they need. To that end we try to prioritize the threads that get moved, so that the users posting them will get the best answers and advice that they can. OSRS threads get moved to the OSRS Forums. Threads about account and payment issues get moved to the Community Led Support forums. Trade threads get moved to the MarketPlace forums. And clan threads get moved to the Clan forums.
The rest of the threads tend to be evaluated on a thread by thread basis. If its a game related question and has already gotten good replies, is there really a point in moving it to the Guides and Help Forum? Sometimes it can be hard to tell if a "What if...?" thread is just opening up a hypothetical discussion or if it is an actual suggestion for changes to the game. That is a situation where we might let the thread run for a bit to better determine where it's headed before making a decision on whether or not to move it.
Again, it's a balancing act. Some days we do a better job at it than others, but we're always trying our best.

I do this all the time. I see Account Help threads posted in General, Website and Forums, Tech Support and others. After I answer their questions and direct them to the correct Support article, then I go ahead to ask an F-Mod or CM to kindly move the thread to its correct location so that the player in question is able to receive the appropriate help and reception.
I'm sure that all F-Mods/CMs are able to see my reports in Forum Help and each one of them says, "May someone please move this thread to..." I do not get gain anything by simply reporting the thread to be moved without helping the person, specially, if what they need help with is Account Help. Like I have mentioned many times before, if you want to see the best in someone else, help them with their situation and educate them at the same time.

Tren, you have excellently articulated everything that I have said and think about this situation. Thank you so very much for putting it together so eloquently
