As someone who saw this place in its heyday, it is pathetic what this place has become.

There's no fixing it at this point, but removing it entirely would mean that Jagex would actually have to remember this place exists. Then, they would have to devote resources better spent elsewhere to remove or fix it.

I don't see either happening. The status quo is cheapest for them. ~ Bill ^_^

Absolutely NO support whatsoever. It's bad enough that Jagex's CM efforts only seem to be directed at Reddit (
* puke *
), Twitch and Twitter. Removing the forums just gives them even less excuse to actually interact with the community as a whole and not just people among those communities or the WBMs that intentionally go to those sites just to get noticed. ~

I think classic had more of a community. I also think Java has more users than the forums. Plenty of more popular things being removed than the forums. The forums have always been terribly unpopular. They can always keep the things we use the website for. Doesn't take any trouble to turn off the forums. Just look at reddit now. Full of anti mtx posts. Look at the forums. There is a clear failure in front of your eyes. Besides, who owns these forums? Who will be their next owner? Think about it.
