Yep that would work, I have had a similar idea for indicating that jmod has posted on a thread.
I have some concerns though and I'm not sure if it's a potential issue or not. I could end up getting loads of requests to check. I'm thinking about a page with 10 posts that all contain nested quotes, from one viewer that could amount to 1000's of checks. During busy forum times that could increase a lot more. You may know more about that than I do, so if you think that's not an issue please say so. Tbh I don't know if its a silly concern or not.
Getting an indication or notification just because someone quoted a quote is hardly handy for the user or for my server. I guess I'm asking the question, are the averages posts/quotes worthy of using extra resources? If I were to answer honestly I have to say no, but that's just my opinion after all.
I guess what I'm saying is I'm reluctant to use my resources to process spam. That's why I'd like to start with jmod posts and see how my server goes. I need see how much traffic it generates, and see how much time it takes.
There are a number ideas I've had to use my server to add enhancements to the forums, but at the end of day I'll be using my server to process so much senseless data that I generally decide against it.
Anyway those are my concerns, it may not be an issue at all for my server and I won't know until I try. But I will ease into it and start with the jmod thing.
@Meredith, It's so good to get a second opinion, you see things that I don't always see. I'm confident if we arrive at similar conclusion then that's pretty much how it is.

Any way I can install this on my Nexus 7?
Thanks
I don't think so. It seems silly that you can't. Chrome extensions are using the same language that mobile sites are written in. I think Nexus is running on android OS, so I went and looked to see that google have to say.

Chrome apps and extensions are currently not supported on Chrome for Android. We have no plans to announce at this time.
It seems they are wanting people to make feature rich sites to cater to mobile devices rather than write extensions for them.

Though Chrome apps are not currently supported, we would love to see great interactive web sites accessible by URL.
