lets restart.

america has a law called RICO act.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Racketeer_Influenced_and_Corrupt_Organizations_Act

it means you make a racket, and its done to distract from how your group eliminates competition, and it leads to monopoly, which shrinks any economy, so its a serious crime, and its punishment requires well educated enforcers.

reddit is not some free state sponsored charity thing. it has many buyable accounts routinely bought by marketing who will then place memes like fast and furious dom "family is everything" and those appear, with impunity, even in the r for rs.

so... we know that rs reddit is corrupt, and has many
PAID
agents who want to eliminate the competition that is rsof. EVERY game company hires community managers from reddit, so its difficult to write here, or at any official game forum about this grievance, because the game company employee filtering it came from reddit where they moderated for years.

I dont need to say its you, but people like you bagging on rsof at rsof are highly suspect. Its not as noble looking as you might think if you happen to be doing it innocently.

not least of which reasons... you are willfully dodging the hash by google posting in HLF at all, which means you want to hide from public review.

so you are kinda doing the thing you complain about already.

edit/add: so am I. Thats not a flaw, but a
feature
. I post to HLF more than other subforums -because- its hidden from players who are not good and addicted to the game yet. I dont want to discourage anyone from playing RS. I assume you are addicted, and never leaving, so I'm takin a little risk to have dared you the thing, but...

bear with me. Possibly the greatest leader of all time Marcus Aurelius said to his stoics: if you can't blame yourself then blame no one.

others will see your piss poor attempt to try and get me to "report you " and let me be very clear on this

i will not report you, for i would rather ignore you all together, so go ahead keep rambling, it matters none to me bro,,

@CM Nick

i was expressing my opinion as i was told the HLF were much more relaxed on subject matters and for a lack of a better way to express it more adult language,

i was not singling out any forum by name or any player by name

i have been polite in my responses

your concern for specific defined forums is some what disturbing in context you are asking

i am referring to runescape forums that is clearly implied .. but i do not feel the need or requirement for me to specifically name one ,

i clearly stated my opinion in the first post

no one should be able to see any ones posts in the tattle tale threads,

they should be 100 % hidden

it brings bad attitude towards other players

it is also a form of abuse, against the player being reported on

and what i truly don't understand is why the fmods or jmods don't intervein when they see the same player making the reports over and over again,

its not like the fmods or the jmods dont know the reportee's or their reputations for reporting

if the report is valid hey no problem fix it ,,but if its just a way for a particular player to shut down a conversation he/she feels shouldn't happen and the post was a legit post ,, then there should be some form of retribution for abusing the system,

after all abuse .. is still abuse no matter what form it takes,, and if all players are to be treated equally fair,, should all that violates the forum rules be subject to its form of punishment?

in a nut shell i have come to the conclusion a hand full of people are controlling the forums because other players gets hammered on then reported on by a select few

this creates a unhealth environment and shuts down participation in one of the truly good parts of runescape,

years ago i would watch thread after thread disappear on to page 2 and beyond in matter of mins because so many players was here,, now it might be 3 days to get knocked off 1st page and thats only because of a select few bump threads from long ago,

its sad,, its corrupt and its my opinion why the forums suffer the way they do

to clarify the problem, yes his first sentence says 'hide it faster' which is a bit demanding, but then his signature, part of the original post, although changeable, is this:
mr togue said :
if you frequently use the tattle tale forums to report your fellow players i will not directly respond to any posts you create in my threads forum abuse is against the rules and if you abuse it then you are no better then they are if my signature offends then dont post

which is in stark contrast to first sentence indicating he means to surveil, and make personal blacklist of players that use the forum help thread, and thats a bit blackmail, kinda against stickied "specific rules" for HLF, and then the rest. I don't impugn any particular jagex employee, but it has become industry standard for game companies to hire those with high karma and years moderating reddit to be community managers and that makes it difficult to discuss how rsof might be visible as competition to eliminate with racketeering rhetoric.

Hello Mr Togue.

I can follow what you are saying.

The Tattle Tail thread = Forum Help. So we all know whats going on. So let me reply a little.

First off if We had no Forum Help thread the forums would be pure anarchy with everybody just doing what they want on a whim. The Forums have some of the most relaxed rules ever to this day. Years ago they Forums were like bad for rules as in you could not even say " Microsoft or Google" without getting a mute. Todays rules let you say anything within reason.

So if someone today uses Forum Help it's for a good valid reason 99% of the time. You must also understand Forum Help is not covered 24/7. Just can't be as F-Mods need to sleep. CM Staff need to sleep. So at times there will be NO F-Mod or CM Staff on Forum Help. We will try our best to be active on it and do try very hard to cover as much of the 24 hours as we can.

Now if someone uses it then a F-Mod or CM Staff member will attend to it as quick as they can. If the report is viewable for a while then anyone reading it should not use that to attack the reporter in any way shape or form. If they do attack you on Forums or others for making a report then a F-Mod or CM staff member will deal with it/them as quickly as they can and take some firm action if it's needed. Which may include them getting a Mute.

I'm not sure what you mean by Double Standards as the F-Mods and CM Staff have guidelines set out by Jagex. We can't go beyond them or were in trouble. So they are followed quite well.

You must also understand if someone is being very disruptive it's very hard to get rid of them these days. You see the rules are very relaxed. Yes we can hide posts and give warnings but to mute someone takes a lot these days. I think this is also a good thing as muting someone for me personally does very little. I would rather post some comments to educate them to be a better forumer instead.

Hopefully this will all help you understand. If not post follow up questions.
