I wonder what the future has in store.
I can't say as I can't read a Crystal ball.
I can... It says fog is on the horizon...
When the day becomes the night and the sky becomes the sea, when the clock strikes heavy and there’s no time for tea; and in our darkest hour, before my final rhyme, she will come back home to Wonderland and turn back the hands of time.

"a long standing player who's put so much effort into creating a 100+ page guide - having a single thread on the forums wasn't really doing any harm"
Seeing as that was I who locked it. Was it doing any harm, no it wasn't. However per the protocols that Jagex issued to the F-mods it was against the rules at the time. So no it wasn't just made up on the fly. What J-mods do, J-mods do, they can massage the rules any way they see fit.
However the F-mods still gotta follow the procedures laid out by them. They're not allowed to deviate.
Sad thing is you're being serious.
Assuming it was breaking a rule which I will say it wasn't:
You didn't have to lock it. You could have said there is no problem leaving the thread, that's assuming somebody reported it. If you happened on it yourself then that's even worse.
Do you think fmods have never said that before?
Furthermore do you think fmods have never responded with "we're volunteers we don't have to do it if we don't want to" on other threads.

I was once a good little foot soldier. Now I'm unshackled and free to be me once again. There were many things I bit my fingers on as the good little cheer leader. Now I don't have to sensor myself. So i followed the rules and ironically others were consulted when that thread was locked as they do with all threads that are what are considered off not cut and dry with the procedures.
What was done was done per the procedures Jagex sets out. Points at the fact that threads who's sole purpose is to advertise other threads aren't allowed. In that case it was advertising another website. So the proper procedure was followed. What Jmods do Jmods do they are free to bend the rules or break them if they see fit. We all just gotta roll with it wherever the dust settles at that point.

Edit: how sad I fell prey to the infamous double post...

How you say. The chaps been an f-mod longer than most have been alive. There be alot of time spent surfing the forums. Actually if you count all his posts prior to the forum glitch that reset everyone's post count he's got way more than 150k already.
