at the table are going to be CM who were formerly reddit mods, and theyre gonna act in their own interest and say no.

it would be in jagex's best interest not to become financially linked to companies like reddit and twitter, in case they start putting down the clamps on corporation using their software as free community management platforms, and they will. Jagex has their own right here but they won't use it. But it's here if they want to.

maybe if mods didn't lock every thread we'd have a front page with dates within the same hour somewhere

you really think too many threads is the problem and you need to lock them all? hilarious lmao, with such excellence as our rsof is taken care of by our precious volunteer unpaid moderators no wonder the forums are how they are. but I'm only joking.

tldr but also too late for that: rsof could make runescape better. hlf could make runescape better. its possible.

it'd get proposed as a passion project at meeting, like... someone needs 5 employees to come rebuild this wonky ancient UBB and give it blocking and mail... this ancient thing so much older than liespace or fakebook, right? what would that equate to in money? would that make the game more attractive to new players? help retain old players?

I know the answer is yes, but... at the table are going to be CM who were formerly reddit mods, and theyre gonna act in their own interest and say no.
it is ancient, and even in its current state it is much better than not having it. in fact, i think the changes necessary to revitalize it are so minimal that it may just happen if the right employee ends up working at Jagex who pushes for it.

There are far less threads locked these days. Very few are locked.

Any that are locked as usually Duplicates caused by the random forum bug where you press once and it adds a shit load of threads or posts.

Honestly it's not about locking. Last thing anyone wants to do is lock a thread if it can be used or moved elesewhere.

I remember years ago when the rules were the rules nearly everything was locked. Todays rules makes it very hard to lock anything. I like todays rules much more as there is far more freedom.

Also wow Sha ky it's been years since I've seen you around these forums. Welcome back.

Truthfully, I enjoy using the RSOF for the game far more than social media platforms. The animosity there portrays a toxic environment with minimal reproduction to being a turd.

I made a completely reasonable thread and you locked it for no reason mister Tufftypower
