jagex is on cruise control and auto pilot with rs3 yes. Which is why the new skill was a big surprise to me.
But i do fear that the new skill will not bring in many new players which will deter jagex from making bigger updates even more. They are an investment after all and the investment has to pay off somehow.
But rs still has very good bones and a strong skeleton so if jagex would want to they could revive the game. But for that they would have to take steps they dont seem willing to make (starting with a combat update to make combat fun for the MAJORITY of potential customers)
Unless off course the current state of the game is something they are satisfied with,maybe everything is going as planned. I dont know their plans with osrs and rs3 and their vision for these games.

Yes, RS3 is being updated (although the last 16 weeks have been quite the contradiction). That does not mean it's being upgraded. Upgraded would imply that the game is getting better with its updates, which very clearly isn't the case. @Chee__RS

whether or not its been upgraded is a matter of opinion, my personal opinion is that some things have improved but ALOT of things have not or gotten worse.

Yes it will be released. When the P.A.G's are coming, you'll see enormous improvements..... Jagex will listen to these P.A.G's........What is a P.A.G you ask?

Pretty sure we're going to see RuneScape remastered before we see "RS4."

I personally want to see the current game brought in to a modern engine with WASD movement and the removal or the tick/grid system. "
