I recently tried out Lost Ark as everybody was talking about this amazing MMORPG. I find it fun... but quickly gets boring. Unlike RuneScape where I could PVM using a myriad of abilities, you are basically restricted to 8 in Lost Ark. I find that the only "real" progression in the game is punching your way up higher. There are better graphics of course, and some other nice features like strongholds that I have not explored yet; however, I doubt it will replace the immerse experience RuneScape offers in terms of strategizing your kill.

As a friend of mine explained it to me... "just stay out of any red cirle/stripe and you should be good" in Lost Ark lol

So if anything, RuneScape has a lot of potential if Jagex can bring it to the next level and give some love and care like they did in 2021. Buying all phats - Discord Apatxe#4487

Yes comparing Runescape to other games, it does have a lot to offer. Particularly since you just really need members to be able unlock everything in the game, as long as you like lore, questing and loads of combat and skilling. The price of members isn't bad and VIP unlocks all the extra junk for decent price as well. I have also come to the conclusion RS3 really does have more to offer than OSRS. It has much better graphics and the lore is more complex and interesting. Though they have done an awesome job with OSRS if you like retro. I go to other games. But always end up coming back to good old RS. I even draw people, from the other games, here.

You mean the same people that kept saying it'll fail when it started? The same ones that said it will fail for over 15 years now? Those same people are being "realistic"? Because if being a hater and a whiner is realistic, than sure, they are.

This game has survived for years from the same doomsayers quotes and statement. It's not being realistic anymore, it's begging now.

Hopefully I am proven wrong, but I personally imagine the next major development from Jagex will be a new game altogether leaving RuneScape to slowly, inevitably die if the new game does prove more successful.

That has been done several times. Usually Runescape ends up being the main game in the end.
