Q: Ever thought about making the book available on iTunes? I think these stories would sound great as audio books with emotions and voices of characters. (Oreo Pies)
A: I agree - but a play rather than a simple audio book would be better I think, with the cries of battle and the clash of steel on steel and the howls of werewolves....great fun. It's something we'll all have to ask the publisher to do (Titan Books).

Q: How long did it take you to write Return to Canfis, and was consistent communication with Jagex required to write it properly? (Darkmagic76)
A: The original version of Return was written slowly over a year. Then, after Titan Books checked it through, we decided to change it, to narrow down the POV considerably. It's still generally the same story, though the main characters became the only POV which means there is a lot that goes on behind the scenes. It was also, I must add, the right decision, though I wasn't sure of that at the time. The re-write was done last summer, from July to September (If I was looking exhausted at RuneFest at the end of August - that was why). Tough work, but good.
PS. Thanks for your reviews on book 1 when it first came out all those years ago.

Q: How was your experience writing about RUNESCAPE? (Eternal Orth)
A: Great fun - to start off with it was purely a hobby that matured into something more formalised as there are now other parties involved (editors etc). But it's still great fun - more so as there are other people to bounce ideas off (Thanks Steve!)

Q: What does it take to be a writer? Cuz im thinking about trying my hand at it.... (Coyote Howl)
A: Thanks for your thoughts on the book. Glad you enjoyed it. In short, to answer your question: Patience and perseverance. And at times a thick hide.

Q: 1.) In your books, you only use a handful of characters from the actual Runescape, and made the rest up. Why did you do that, and not use more real characters? 3.) Would you ask the people at Jegax to add some of the characters from your book into the game? 4.) If you write another Runescape naval, when will it be out! (Ilug)
A: This is a way of making sure I do not endanger any continuity. The books are based a few years before we enter the game, so it's natural for a few changes amongst characters to be here. In repsonse to Q3, go and speak to sir Amik, Doric, Reldo or King Roald. To 4, I would say next year.

Q: Did you play runescape to get a feel for the geography and for how Jagex portrays certain NPCs background stories? (Rubberbandman)
A: Yes I do exactly that. It's important, even with scale theory, to be able to establish this world in a way players will recognise.
