As it is clearly stated there that the title if claimed by a newly made account will be transfered to your main.

I don't like the conceptional way either but guys, before you start ranting and shouting, read properly - everything! Then start torturing the keyboard, not before!

A clear statement I can live with as I don't rip myself into pieces for a title.

But I still guess not many people will like this concept anyways. Not sure if I do.

Accepting and being able to live with it and liking are two different boots.

As I said before I wouldn't even go for the title if I'd not done all quests yet, as I am perfectly aware of the fact that almost all "one title only" titles will be obtained in 99% of all cases by players who don't play fair (in what specific way ever they stretch or ignore the rules).

Sad but such is life, anywhere, outside, inside and on games.

As well as it's almost anywhere also always the same: If there is something obtainable all people will have to go and get it. No matter if it's sensible, no matter if they need it, no matter if they really want it, no matter if they will ever have any use for it. They just have to because it's there and they also don't want anyone else to get it, very often.

What I do appreciate the comment from you and Jagex side, it's clear, open and fair.

What I want to suggest: Can't we just get rid of all those "exclusive" titles? They do more harm than good...

I don't think the problem is so much the obtaining of the title or if people will cheat or the reward, but the principle behind the competition. The suggested title was Ultimate Quester. How about the people who log in, worldwide, every time a quest update comes on at that exact moment to complete it. How are they not Ultimate Questers? Instead the title is going to go to some guy who probably doesn't even quest or care about the lore or even read what the chatbox is saying. How is that even appropriate? Jagex is rewarding people who wouldn't have played their content anyway and neglecting people who do.

I'll have to agree with this statement...

I love quests, it's my absolute favorite thing on Runescape. It took me a very long time to train my account and to finish all the quests. I enjoy everything about quests and will take the time to read what the characters say, and even turn my music settings on.

Having to rush through a number of them just for a title, and not appreciating the full storyline just to get a cosmetic title -for me- devalues the title. That's just my opinion, I know it won't change much but I hope you understand my feelings about this competition.

I am aware that it is aimed at people who don't usually quest. But I don't think it justifies not rewarding the people that own a quest cape. I don't care for the other stuff(like the godsword) I just want to show the world: "Look I got this awesome title for being a Questmaster". Promoting questing like you are is a good idea, but I think you can also promote it by giving the title to anyone who owns a QPC at the end of the competition as well. Maybe that will give some people(that don't have a chance of winning anyways) a reason to pull through the last couple of quests as well. Another way would be to give Questmasters a Title on their own... like "Legendary Quester". Jojo - Still cannot decide who's better:

This is a bunch of BS. In the last 2 weeks I have been more displeased with Runescape, then the entire time (almost 10 years now) that I have been playing. I get it, you want your 200th quest to be spectaculiar. However, you have once again, made it so that not everyone can participate in an event. It's BS that we need to make another account to participate, after we have already finish, some or all of the quest! You even said yourself as to how many hours there are of questing. That's a lot of time and frustration for a lot of players, now you want us to do it all over again???? Runescape you are FAILING!!! Horribly. As a matter of fact, since halloween 2014(at the least), Runescape has consistantly sucked more and more. Its heart breaking. Now with the quest*val, you want people to make new accounts JUST to be part of the Quest event? You have lost your minds!!!!! Like I want, need, or desire another account. I am highly disappointed. I know that jagex wants to make money, but I think they are going about it in a very greedy and unfair manner. Rise in cost of memberships, bonds, etc. Not that they weren't making a killing off it before. Jagex knows that by raising the prices it gives those with financial freedom, the power to rule the game. It wasn't like that back in the day. What happen to Runescape/Jagex's values?

Just a question... would the competition mean that you have to start a quest on the 28th, or could you have started a quest beforehand and just end it on the 28th and get the points added to the competition.

While I appreciate your answer and can see the reasoning behind your approach, it is still wrong. Let me elaborate:

The title is "Ultimate Quester". Don't you think that title belongs to those of us who play every quest ASAP, who keep yearning for new quests, who crack skulls over lore questions, and most of all, who don't use quest guides? If there is such a thing as an "Ultimate Quester", it is us. Not some new kid who spacebars through dialogue with a quest guide because they want to get as many QP as possible in one weekend. If that person deserves a title, it should be "Guide User" or "Spacebarrer". However, to make it still desirable, how about "Quickquester", "Speedquester", "Questracer" or whatever? But keep the real accolade of "Ultimate Quester" for those who deserve it.

The least you should do is give the title (perhaps devided into a gold and silver colored versions) to all current Quest Cape owners. Once you go NXT, you never go back.

In this case the title shouldn't be Ultimate Quester, but something like Quest Lover, because this title isn't meant to be given to the Ultimate Questers.
