Please allow ironman acconts to do this! You did not state only non ironman......
Jesus, people. Calm your **** - it's for Oxfam a much better charity than the charities they have had on the roll list before. Besides, this is a way for gamers to convert virtual money to real-life impact, and then you can forget whatever ulterior motive is behind, because it goes to a good cause.

Hello--
I have never purchased a bond before. I can't affort to spend real world money on bonds. So, do I buy the bond from the Grand Exchange? The bonds on the GE state: "this item will become untradable upon purchase"--so can bonds that are purchased from the GE be given to Thorvar Crittersmash?
(sorry for the noob question!)
You can donate both untradable (bond bought off G.E.) and a bond bought from the JaGeX store.
EDIT: Also, Ganon, (from previous page) if you want to get a much better detailed review of charities check out Giving What We Can; they review charities and
effective
charity work.
Never drop a valuable item.

Charity has nothing to do with self gain. Charity should not be rewarded by material things, nor should it be rewarded with bragging rights, such as the titles you already provide. You are luring in gullible players who have no interest in the real reason of charity what so ever, other than obtaining the reward from doing it. I mean come on, "The Millionaire", "The Billionaire"? They have nothing to do with charity, nor does this update!
Charity is supposed to be about giving for the gift of giving. It's supposed to be anonymous, it's supposed to be about the cause of the charity, it's supposed to leave you with a good feeling thinking "I've helped someone today". It's NOT supposed to be about flashing fancy title screaming "look how much money I have", and certainly not about how many extra keys on Treasure Hunter you can get or the fact that you can look like a reindeer!
If the players can't donate to charity based on the goodness of their hearts and need an incentive to do it, I think that goes to prove that charity events and donation wells has nothing to do in this game.
Utterly disgusting.
On another note: Ebola? Really? I can understand the gaming charities but Ebola? The world needs to realize sooner or later that even TB kills more people than Ebola. Unfortunately TB doesn't exist in the western world so I guess it's not a problem we want to deal with.
I'm so glad I'm not alone in my thoughts on this. If you give to charity for what you can get in return you are not giving, you are trading. I see that as a moral failure.

True enough. Charity isn't about trading and Jagex should not be providing such an incentive. It would be fine if they only gave out the antlers. However, do keep in mind that real-life charities give small gifts back to donors like candy or other small things. There's nothing wrong with getting a little something back for your donation.
As for Ebola that is a disease that is seldom seen. People fear rare or uncommon diseases precisely because they can become as mainstream as tuberculosis. Ebola should not become a common disease.
Offering rewards and incentives will only increase the chance of more donations.
It doesn't matter what the motivation of the givers are. What matters is that
those in need get help. And for those who squawk at helping ebola victims.....
Seriously !??

Indeed! I hope the impoverished people relying on the urgent supplies from Oxfam don't get wind of this, they'll be outraged!
Aka:
The people who *literally* get to eat because charities from Oxfam give no poops to whether someone did it out of the goodness of his heart, or to get a fancy title in an online game he plays.
It's an event for a good cause; medical supplies reach sick people in third world countries, someone gets a fancy hat in Runescape. Win win.
