I am currently holding up in a safe house, waiting for the survivors to heed my message. Although the outlook is grim, I have already had two of my former cell come by. A mercenary who has helped us before has shown up too. So far, only one of my former comrades has kept the sickle by their side.

Already, I have a few plans set in motion. Veliaf may have disbanded us, but it doesn't seem like the right thing to do. I will have to shoulder a lot more responsibility than before, and secure our future before we are all dominated by the vampyres. We are the forsaken, inauspicious.

Drakan or not, I will continue to fight. I may no longer have numbers or even supplies, but
I do have the spirit to carry on. The vampyres will pay for this devastating blow. Those unscrupulous winged rats have dug their own grave.

One one more of my men has shown up at our rally-point, and he promptly stormed off until today when he returned bearing a sour attitude and a new dagger. He had joined up with the Society of the Owls, the only group west of the Salve that has any wits about them. He came back on orders from the Crown to get a report from the Myreque remnants. I told him there are none, and they should have sent troops over years ago.

His reappearance has given rise to a new scabbard I need to make... my remaining man and I will be heading out to craft it tonight and test its potency. Hopefully some thin leather wrapping will work well enough to hide its nature.

Varr, our necromancer supplier, has gotten in touch with me yet again. I found the leader of his band of Kinshra raiding what was left of Burgh de Rott and promptly defeated him in two moves and left with him a message for Varr on how to contact me.

I do not trust him. The things he asks, the precautions he is taking... The box he gave me. Summoning supplies. A means to contact him, he called it. He is deathly afraid of the Salve, and is angered by even the slightest line of questioning. I have many suspicions about him, but for now we can benefit from one another. It has gained me decent food and maintenance supplies so far, as well as an interesting set of bolts. For all of our sakes, I hope he plays within our rules.

For now, I will rest until my jaunt out east.

The splitbark sheathe was a success. I can now carry my wolfbane discreetly in Canifis. It took a long while to scrape enough bark for it and even then I had to run into town with Elzbeth to buy leather strips to bind and wrap it. Then we had to sneak off for me to finish it, which required a bit of raunchy acting.

However, while testing the sheathe at the pub I came across a pair of humans. One was inquisitive and naive, dangerously so. The other was brazen and uncaring, painting a target on his own back by publicly wielding a silver sickle. Billy joined us as Jeff, but we didn't linger long after the sickle-wielding man left.

To our surprise, we ran into the same man at Paterdomus as he was paying his respects to the Seven. From there I inquired about his weaponry, and it did not take me long to identify his as the last remaining member of the Sanguinesti Order, Azzada. Once we realized we were on the same side, conversation flowed more freely. We then decided to meet with him in Meiyerditch at a later date to get things situated.

Next is a bit about our friend Varr. Days earlier, he gave me a box that was a means to summon him in Morytania, with instructions to do so alone. Of course, I went to the most remote cave and had Ezlbeth covering me from the shadows. Long story short, Vera'han was keeping a few things from me but is now bound in my service.

Afterward, Elzbeth and I visited Azzada in the 'Ditch. There he showed us his hidey hole, and we raided the Sanguinesti base for any supplies we could all carry. We currently have top men working on copying some important documents, and our friend Azzada is well stocked for a single-man cell. Sometime soon we will pay him another visit and gift him some more readily usable supplies. Until then, I have the urge to hone my skills this weekend. I think I will take some personal time.

There are still no signs of the others. I still hold out hope for some of them, but I must assume they are lost. I will focus my efforts on those that are here, right now. That also means I will now be seeking a new base of operations. It seems the Burgh de Rott base is still secure, even though the Sanguinesti one was compromised. Though painful, I may have to take up residence back in those woefully empty halls.

Varr has done well so far. He is keeping himself entertained and myself informed. While I care little for interaction with the locals, he seems to actively seek it out. I have also tasked him with finding a way to make jewelry that can teleport to different areas around Morytania. While I am accustomed to trekking, sometimes it is more advantageous to instantly appear at your destination instead of risking being tracked.

I have made another trip down to the 'Ditch to visit Azzada. He works fast. He already has a few hopefuls taking up the sickle and a decent little hole to hide in. I initially went to drop off finished goods, but he requested I show his men how to properly fight. And I did just that. A local vyrewatch had been overtaxing Sector One despite the new lowered tithing policies.

I left my personal gear in the base and went out with a sickle and chain that I brought for Azzada, to show them they can do it with what I gave them. I surprised the vyre, zig-zaging to avoid his initial volley of spells. I was able to weaken him with a silverized smokebomb and holy water, then I hooked him with my chain-sickle. I delivered the finishing blow to the neck with my wolfbane when it was suitably incapacitated.

Azzada tried to reward me with a replica of Seergaze's rod for my efforts, but I improved his gift and returned it to him. Now with his semi-complete Flail of Ivandis, he can rally morale and stick it to those damn vyres.

For OOC enjoyment only. Society of Owls eye's only.

Field Report: Gullday, 23, Ire of Phyrrys
Advance Scout: [REDACTED], Society of Owls
Subject: Status of East Salve Myreque, To send aid.

I regret to report that the Myerque are no more. The noble souls that sacrificed their lives to slay Lord Drakan, were the last souls among them worth supporting. Their last surviving Lieutenant, a man formally known as "Isaac", has wrongfully taken on the name, the hope,"Calsidiu" brings to the trapped humans across the river. "Calsidiu" is a monster now. A being whom consorts with demons, poisons the heads of his soldiers and exists only to serve his own goals. This is reflected in the way he operates. During my time in their service, he made deals with the vampyre, consorted with werewolves, and has sunken to a new low... the silencing of those who openly criticize and question his methods. He claims this is for the greater good, that he makes sacrifices for those that suffer. I hope he believes it.

I openly regret my time within his service now. What we did was right for a time, we did what we had to do, to survive. But there comes a point where that excuse doesn't make it anymore. I killed one human to save many, he's killed many to save... none. I beg of you though, my liege, my superiors, do not let this break the resolve of your will. We all have lost to the fetid horrors of the east. Now more than ever, do the people there need our aid, but it can't come while individuals like this "Calsidiu" are in charge, lest are aid fall into the hands of those who would only use it to further their own goals. You sent me with the explicit purpose of making the decision should we share our aid with them.

No, that aid will not come while "Calsidiu" continues to co-opt our goals and sicken our cause. We simply will wait as we always have, vigilant and ready.

Addendum: Regarding the effectiveness of the [REDACTED], further field tests will need to be performed on [REDACTED].

On what's been happening of late, we have been too busy fighting. Whether they be personal demons, or those damned "mosquitoes". We've had little time to think things through recent events. We were victorious in a sense, all of the lost still all to present in our minds. So this goes out to you, all of those who lost someone, and those damned "mosquitoes" as well

"This isn't about revenge. This is about justice. About restoring the balance. About taking something dark and ugly out of this world once and for all, so that something—something decent and good—can grow instead. This is for the Myreque. For everyone who was their friend. And for everyone whose life you have ruined along your way to this moment."

There are no words for my disappointment. Kivan has set us back by months, all because of his own inane prejudices. I don't know what the Crown has done to him, but he's gone and turned into a right tw*t. He stormed off, dropping his sickle in the mud and vowing that we will never see aid from the west. F**k him and f**k the Owls he works for. I should have ended him when I had the chance.

Gwen showed up in Burgh de Rott, bouncing a ball of all things. After a short lecture, she, Billy, and I watched over the front gate and discussed means of getting precious gems for my side projects. It was mildly fruitful.

Then Varr and my acquaintance Ren got into it at the Barrows Shanty. I arrived with Gwen and Billy in tow. Elizabeth arrived later on but remained hidden. I played neutral in the spat, but it ended when Ren teleported away. By then, a werewolf approached due to the commotion and tried to ruffle me. So I sprung the ambush I had on the unsuspecting mutt. It ran with its tail between its legs.

It came to light after that encounter that Gwen is a half-breed werewolf. Years ago, I would have killed her. But today, I will watch her. She has proven loyal so far, if a bit rash. She can be trained to suit our purpose.

The biggest, and most frightening news, is that of a "new" Myreque sprouting up, funded by my old acquaintance Dion. I know the types he carries with him. They are proud and boisterous. They will be pigs to the slaughter. And worse yet, I hear their leader is an Icyene. His presence in Morytania will undo everyone's sacrifice. I hope he has the sense to stay west.

We have relocated to back Burgh de Rott. It was only a matter of time before Kivan's report made it to Drezel and we would be kicked out, so we moved on our own terms. I hope in time, they will see the error in his judgement. I fear for the lives he may have doomed.

I have met with the Icyene known to be the leader of the Myreque Reformed. It was through a mutual contact that the parlay was established, and I have mixed feelings about how it went. The Icyene was almost too willing to heed my words. I am unsure if they went in one ear and out the other. Currently, if they march a military force into Morytania, the consequences would be dire.

I suggested they station their main force at Paterdomus and work in small teams to remain undetected. I also gave them some stategic pointers in where to go and what to do, as well as a better name than the Myreque Reborn. Only time will tell if they have listened to a thing I said. If they disobey me, I will not aid them when they inevitably become vyrebait. And the Icyene's life if forfeit should he set foot past the Salve.

I am currently in Darkmeyer. The demon who initially helped me sneak in has resumed his guise and helped me rise through the lower ranks. I had to mingle with the most vile, asinine, and utterly selfish beings I have ever met. They love it when someone can do their work for them, allowing them to laze about drinking their blood rations.

I was initiated into the Vyrewatch. The bloodmark I received was just as painful as I remembered. My past experience allowed me to take it without showing strain to those around me. Now, with unrestricted access to Darkmeyer's streets, I can initiate Operation Night Terror. The vyres will know fear.

I have also received reports of a rogue Icyene running about Northern Morytania. One of my own nearly died protecting it from a tither. I am going to hunt it and put it down. If it hasn't left Morytania yet, I will make an example of it for the Myreque Reborn.

Varr is dead. He went off and disobeyed orders, seeking to capture Ren to serve some purpose. I cannot say I did not expect him to die not listening to my orders, but I am disappointed he did so so early. He was still in the middle of making a few things for me. Now my amulet will remain incomplete for a while. All of that hard work up in a massive ball of fire. I told him to not make me regret giving him time off, and am not surprised I do.

Before everything went to sh*t, I arrived back in the Burgh and called a meeting to bring everyone up to speed. Gwen hardly knew Varr for an hour before he got roasted. If that's not a welcome back, I don't know what is. Elzbeth is still laid up from her run in. I have names now. It is only a matter of time. I hear that the Icyene was present in Varr's last moments. It is a shame it did not perish too.

This is a setback. The new guy had apparently been roped into the whole crapshoot with Ren. He had to lie to preserve our name. If the truth comes out, the implication could ruin some very vital ties.

Speaking of Ren, he is the one in possession of Desmius' blood. I could hardly believe it when I heard from his own mouth. I tried my best to convince him to lock it away as a danger to his kind. I hope he believes my little white lies. That vial can, and will, cause untold destruction. I must remember to let Desmius know that I suspect Varr died trying to reclaim his blood. That may scare him straight.

Now I sit here with a former Void Knight in town. The wishy-washy b****rd wants to help us for now, but I know he will jump the fence the second things turn south for the vyres. I don't trust Marco as far as I can throw him, but with Varr gone, I need a new blade. My plans will continue to march on, slowly.
