Listen up! If we're going to keep one step ahead of the bats then we need to keep track of them, sector-by-sector - know who's weak, vulnerable, distracted or otherwise missing. If you're in the 'ditch, keep yourself informed.

Meiyerditch is a sprawling labyrinth of a ghetto, split into various sectors - these sectors are both run by different Vyrewatch Captains, as well as being used for a rota - either you're being tithed, or you're forced to work in the mines.

† [
The Vyrewatch of Meiyerditch
] †

Sector 1
The Vyrewatch here are often a little slack - but boredom often means they'll come running if something happens.

Sector 2
The vyrewatch here generally tend to pick on the weak, powerless, starving refugees more than shifty, suspicious characters..

Sector 3
Vyrewatch in this sector are kept well in order by a harsh captain with a penchant for "interrogation". This is also where the Meiyerditch Bunker is located.

Sector 4
A giant, sprawling sector, Sector 4 is overseen by Vyrewatch who delight in tormenting humans, seeing them as both amusement and prey, in that order. Vyrewatch in this sector will often be on the lookout for anyone out of the ordinary, and regularly torment victims.

Sector 5
An eerily quiet sector, the Vyrewatch here are quiet and alert - as if they're afraid. The whole sector has a feeling of intense discomfort about it, though the Vyrewatch rarely harass travelers.

Sector 6
The sector closest to Darkmeyer, this region houses Vyrewatch who are very, very thorough and orderly. If you're passing through, expect trouble.

As you all know, the Vyrewatch are split up, different Vyres commanding the 'watch over different sectors of Meiyerditch, with the Overwatch sitting in Darkmeyer directing the whole show. Additionally, it's rumored that each vyrewatch captain is given an enchanted medallion of some sort.

Profile: Captain Grigar Myrmel

Captain Myrmel, in charge of Sector 1 of Meiyerditch, is said to be one of the more tame Vyrewatch captains around. That said, nobody in Morytania gets to a position without dirtying their hands - be it in human blood or vampyre blood.

Myrmel is said to be the latter, a Vyrewatch who skulked in the shadows and back-stabbed his way to the position of captain. He is ambitious, but tempers this ambition with caution, often studying, stalking and planning for days if not weeks before executing a risky maneuver. He's the most untrustworthy (in vampyre terms, at least) of the six captains, and the one most likely to be blamed should something go awry.

Known to have a particularly cruel streak and an affinity for fire, Verissa often amuses herself "playing" with the inhabitants of Meiyerditch - of course, she had to keep her flames under control most of the time. A fairly powerful pyromancer, one capable of striking fear into most of her underlings, only the foolhardy would underestimate her.

That said, she's not without flaw. She's said to have a very, very volatile temper, and with that temper often comes flames - in the rotting city of Meiyerditch, this could prove to be a very, very dangerous thing indeed, for anyone near her, and for the rest of the city.

Viktor keeps his troops well-trained and maintained, but often takes personal interest in suspicious individuals in sector 3. Using both melee up-close and a variety of magic (predominantly blood and earth), he's a formidable figure to fight. However, he supposedly has a cruel streak - he and his Vyrewatch have a habit of taking suspicious individuals in for "interrogation" - they either never return, or they're tossed into the streets, gibbering, broken messes.

Viktor dresses mostly in red, but has a tattered saradominist cape upon his back, also in red. The significance of this is unknown. Many of the Vyrewatch treat Viktor with suspicion or distaste, though the Vyrewatch who serve under him usually praise him highly. It's quite possibly that those who disagree with him simply fear him too much to speak out of line.

Profile: Captain Grothuar Artem
] †

Captain Artem sees humans as entertainment and as prey, not a serious threat. Due to this, he takes his duties very lightly. The only reason he still has his position, other than his menace, is because he helps keep the population of Meiyerditch in control in unusual ways - mainly, by making examples of anyone who gives him an excuse.

These "examples" are normally publicly humiliated, wounded, then forced to flee across Meiyerditch while Grothuar and his 'watch hunt them down in a twisted sort of fox-hunt. Of course, nobody ever survives it. It's rumored that sometimes, Grothuar will take particularly feisty or resilient individuals to an unknown location to hunt them down in an even sicker form of "sport". None live to prove this.

Additional Information:
Artem has been sighted in Canifis at the same time as a blood sport tournament held by the werewolves - Prot' thinks he's in town to get fighters of his own - some kind of multi-race hunting pack?

He also turned up to a trap intended to lure Myreque and Salve Mercenaries alike into a situation where they ended up drugged and unconcious - further supports hunting pack idea.

Profile: Vyrelady Enverria
] †

Often believed to be a mere myth to scare children into behaving, Lady Enverria is a curious case of a Vyrelady (not Vyrewatch) who came to be in control of a fighting force. Very, very little is known about her - some speculate that she is a failed experiment, others a madwoman. Some believe that she isn't even a vampyre.

What is known about her is that she is completely, utterly lethal at close range. She stalks the streets, watching from the darkness, ready to gut human and vamypre alike with unheard-of speed and strength. The disemboweled remains of their bretheren covering the ground, Vyrewatch serving under Enverria very, very quickly fall into line.

Profile: Vyrelord T. Moraan

Tasked to watch over sector 6 and oversee the Daeyalt mines, Moraan runs a very tight, very professional crew of Vyrewatch - honed and sharpened, they keep sector 6 under very close watch. Moraan himself, however, is somewhat of an unknown element. It's known that he's incredibly loyal to the old Drakan family, and he's said to have backed the Church of Lowerniel a fair bit in terms of funding.

Moraan himself is exceptionally prideful, prideful beyond measure, and will do anything to ensure that he is respected and feared. Though he's known to taunt and goad humans who disobey him, usually humiliating them, he keeps a very tight leash on his vyrewatch.

Profile: The Overwatch
] †

The commander of the Vyrewatch, The Overwatch is in charge of directing the Vyrewatch captains where necessary, and personally dealing with issues which the captains cannot handle. His name is often spoken in hushed, frightened whispers, as people far and wide know that The Overwatch is a terrifying, inhumanly cruel figure - as well as a ruthless tactician.

Sitting upon his lofty perch in Darkmeyer, The Overwatch has his own barracks of elite troops - not mere Vyrewatch, but trained, honed, efficient and effective vampyric soldiers . The Overwatch is death incarnate, using morphing crystal weaponary able to turn from a powerful staff to a mono-molecular blade in a split second, able to cut through all but the thickest of armors. It is rumored that he is in league with The Church - while others say that he plans to overthrow The Church.

Additional Information:
The Overwatch has outfitted his Vyrewatch Captains with specially-made medallions which resist a certain type of magic that only Proteus has, to our knowledge.

Rumor:
The Lone Wolf
] †

Rumors fill the Myre that a heavily armored figure who once before walked the lands is now back - and some believe that it is an armoured figure that Proteus particularly knows well - an individual who may very well be hunting Proteus down.

They were last seen taking a rowboat to an island off of the northern shore. Get there, find out what Isaac Stark is doing in Morytania, and whether or not he's a threat.

Requires: Currency for hiring a ship, or the ability to steal a row-boat

Completed!

In the end, it turned out not to be Isaac, but instead Atticus, a man from Proteus's and Elzbeth's past. Claiming to be hunting down weaponary and golems in Morytania, Atticus struck a bargain with Elzbeth and Proteus, a pact of non-aggression while also promising to send information their way should he come across it. Their trip after him lead them to a long-abandoned ship, where a fair portion of intact metal was salvaged.
