To have a chance at surviving in the Myre, one must know it, and know it well. Morytania is full of strange and bizarre creatures that are difficult to defeat, as well as an environment which can be lethal to those who don't know how to use it. The teaching of various skills and techniques is paramount to survival.

A fair amount of skills require the right materials or facilities to be taught properly - teaching flail combat without a flail is a pointless endeavor after all!

Anti-Vampyre Techniques

Improvised Weaponary

Often, Myreque will have little-to-none in the terms of anti-vampyre equipment. While the Vampyres may seem immortal, there are techniques to slaying them that can be applied to even simple weaponary.

Can be taught by: Any experienced Myreque member
Requirements: Rope or Chain

Flail Combat

The Ivandis Flail, a legendary weapon, can be re-created with the sole intention of slaying Vampyres. The use such an unpredictable weapon, however, is difficult to master.

Can be taught by: Calsidiu, Misaldi, Proteus
Requirements: Ivandis Flail, Training dummy

Advanced Flail Combat

Misaldi's own personal fighting style, developed over years of fighting, this involves a great deal of effort put into mobility and trickery, even utilizing smoke bombs for combative purposes.

Can be taught by: Specialized, taught by Misaldi only
Requirements: Ivandis Flail, Smokebombs, Advanced training dummy

Blisterwood Weaponary Handling

Often thought to be a myth, the writhing Blisterwood is known as the Vampyres' bane - but how does one even wield a weapon who's handle constantly writhes?

Can be taught by: Calsidiu, Misaldi
Requirements: Blisterwood, Training dummy

Basic Stealth
[imgur src=]

Sneak, crouch, slink into the shadows. Basic stealth training is critical to most, if not all Myreque endeavours.

Can be taught by: Any experienced Myreque member

Smoke Bomb Usage

Anyone can toss a smoke bomb at their feet, but most first-time users end up stunning themselves as much as their agressors.

Can be taught by: Calsidiu, Misaldi, Proteus
Requirements: Smoke bombs

Distractions and Diversions

In a nasty spot and need a way to escape, or to mislead your foes for a while? That's what distractions and diversions are for. Distraction and diversion tactics as well as acrobatics and quick-footedness, all the skills you'll need to distract and pre-occupy your enemy with.

Can be taught by: Calsidiu, Misaldi
Requirements: Access to a large area, Balance beam

Advanced Stealth

Silent footfall, lethal stealth attacks, muffled movement and concealment amongst the shadows. Vital for those who want to stay undetected while doing more than just watching.

Can be taught by: Calsidiu, Misaldi
Requirements: Balance beam, advanced combat dummy, sickle, dagger

Environmental Training

The Mort Myre

Spanning the most-part of Morytania, the Mort Myre swamps often prove deadly to those who don't know what to look out for or to expect. Reccomended for anyone who wants to survive longer them five minutes.

Can be taught by: Any experienced Myreque member
Requirements: Basic survival supplies, access to the Mort Myre

Meiyerditch

The slum-city where Vampyres keep humans as "cattle", Meiyerditch of a giant, sprawling labarynth, covered day and night by a thick sea fog. The ghetto can be traversed with great speed and versatility, though, by those trained for it. Walls, hidey-holes and crannies to be leapt up and jumped through means that the place is perfect for the arts of evasion and parkour.

Can be taught by: Any experienced Myreque member
Requirements: Access to Meiyerditch

Darkmeyer

The city of the Vampyres, Darkmeyer is the most dangerous place in Morytania for a human to be, the blood-soaked streets and guard-filled rooftops offering no solace or reprieve. It is almost impossible for a human to slip into Darkmeyer, let alone move through unnoticed, to do so takes a great deal of time and preparation.

Can be taught by: Calsidiu
Requirements: Scent-marked clothing or a bloodmark

Artisan

Jury-Rigging

Often, you'll have low supplies and faulty ones at best out in the Myre. Coupled with the risk of equipment or mechanisms breaking, it's wise to learn how to fix things up that need it, be it equipment or otherwise.

Can be taught by: Calsidiu, Misaldi, Proteus, Jason
Requirements: Odds and ends

Metalwork

Fixing armor in a hurry is one thing, but it's another thing to forge or re-forge weaponary, armour and tools from scratch. Precision work takes more time, but is a vital endeavour for those who wish to survive. A war can't be won without weapons.

Can be taught by: Calsidiu, Misaldi, Proteus, Jason
Requirements: Working forge, metalworking tools, metal ingots

Basic Thaumaturgy

While not everyone's a mage, many creatures in the Myre have weaknesses which are magical of one kind or another. To this end, modifying weapons to have magical properties, not dependent on the user's magical power, is vastly useful.

Can be taught by: Specialized, Proteus only
Requirements: Magial crystals, parchment, quill, wand
