The Crown and the Royal Family


The Royal House of Lansing has ruled over the lands of Misthalin nearly without stop for a number of years. Only stopping for the short few years where the a military dictator sized power in Varrock and forced the Lansings to the South. The Lansings have a long history of being a number of proud, fair and generally well loved rulers by their people. Keeping them out of foreign wars of aggression and generally keeping the peace for generations at a time.

The current rulers are; Her Majesty, Essiandar the Dauntless

Their shared titles are; Her Majesty, by the Grace of Seren and Saradomin, Queen of the Misthalites, Grand Duchess of Varrock and of Lumbridge, Duchess of Silvarea and of Edgeville, Baroness of Lothringen, Warden of the Salve and of the Forinthry Wall.

Until a heir is made, the line of succession is as follows; Her Royal Highness, Essi Lansing, the Crown Princess of Lumbridge

The Privy Council


The Privy Council are those who assist the Crown in running the Kingdom from the highest order to the lowest one. Skilled in either trade, diplomacy or warfare, it is in the hollowed halls of the Privy Council Chamber that the decisions that effect the entire Kingdom are created. argued and forged.

Only the King or Queen can name or banish someone off of the Privy Council.

The Council of War


Privy Members:
The King, the Queen, the Crown Marshal, the Lord Admiral, the Lord Commander of the Palatine,

Function:
The Council of War acts as the oversight command of the Crown Levies, the Navy whilst the Lord Commander of the Palatine Guard have a seat on the Council also. They are charged by the King and Queen with the protection of the Kingdom, the day to day running of the standing Kingdom's Forces, the managing and nearly everything that has to do with the defense of the Kingdom.

The Council of State


Privy Members:
The King, the Queen, The Lord Chancellor, The Lord Ambassador, The Lord Justice, The Archbishop, The Duke, The Marcher Lords

Function:
The Council of State are made of the members of the Privy Council that are charged with the more peaceful and basic day to day running of the Kingdom. From the Lord Justice keeping the Queen's Justice, to the Lord Chancellor and their running of the domestic policy. The Duke and Marcher Lords have an honorable chair on the Council due to them direct running the land for the Crown.

The Office of the Treasury


Privy Members:
The Lord Treasurer, Kingdom's Comptroller, Different ranking Merchant Lords

Function:
The Office of the Treasury is gifted a separate Council to oversee the spending and balancing of the Kingdom's coffer away from certain political motives of the Privy Council. Here the members of the Treasury writes policy to keep the Crown out of debt, collect taxes, and keep a close watch on any gold/ silver mines in the Kingdom to ensure inflation does not rise. It is an extremely important job.

Diplomatic Relations


The Kingdom of Ardougne-Yanille

Misthalin has no formal relations with the former Kingdom of Kandarin.

The Northern Tribes of Relleka


Whilst there is not former relations with Relleka, due to a close pocket of Northernes living in Misthalin for generations in small villages along the River Lum, the Queendom would be quite welcoming to the opening in relations.


The Kamajian Trade Confederation


It was quite well known during the Misthalin war for Unification that the powers in Kamajia were selling arms and giving aid to the Military Junta of Varrock. Seen as an act of agression, Misthalin has no formal ties with them and would refuse to host them in Court unless War Reparations are paid.

Noble Houses


The Kingdom of Misthalin operates under a semi-feudarl system. Meaning that the Crown does not have direct oversight and centerlized ruling over the lands that comes underneath the Kingdom.

Instead of naming a Governor, Families who have done great many services to the Crown can be granted nobility and a fief to rule and run in the name of the Crown. They will collect taxes, keep the Queen's Peace, train their Men-At-Arms, and when called will raise their Army under the banner of the Queen.
