By Decree of Her Majesty, Queen Anora;

The formation of a Crown funded force is hereby approved. With widespread sources of attacks coming from East of the Salve causing issues for the lumber and fur trade of the Silvera, the Crown has authorized a military expedition force into the region to locate the roots of these attacks and deal the Crown's Justice.

This military expedition force or The Grey Company shall be lead by a Crown approved commander and officers. Any man or woman of any level of birth is free and able to sign up. Titles of Knighthood, nobility and lands in the region of Silvera will be rewarded to all who sign up once the root of these attacks are destroyed. Past crimes and debts will be forgiven for those who prove their loyalty to the Misthalite Crown.

This is somewhat of a remake of the Salve Company. The idea is similar but I also have a plot in mind for going across the border into the Wilderness.

If you have any interest in being in any type of group like this, post it here or talk to me In-Game. Once we get a good enough group going, I will start the first Salve story line that will dive deep into East European Folklore.

While it's a Crown funded and controlled force, it'll operate much like an Adventure Guild/Company for the sake of having some nice storylines. Myles

A mere two weeks after the start of King Darian and Queen Anora's reign over Misthalin, the usual night shift of palace guards would assume their duties, patrolling for any suspicious activities that may threaten the King or his kingdom. Yet none seemed to have witnessed the courier until they were directly in front of the palace doors, a robe draped over them to conceal them from head to toe. Startled by the potential intruder, a nearby guard grabbed at them. However, as his hand grasped the cloth of the robes and yanked away, he was shocked to see absolutely nothing in its place, as if whomever was under the robes simply vanished.

Puzzled and bewildered, the guard held up the ragged robes, shaking them for a moment. From the sleeves dropped a single envelope, quickly retrieved by the guard. The front of the envelope read: "For the New King and Queen of Misthalin".

The letter would read:

To the newest ruling family of Misthalin, you have my dearest congratulations. Misthalin has always been quite the delight in the past, and I hope you can help steer it in an even better direction amidst these dark times of chaos and war. Formalities aside, there is a point to this letter.

My name is Syer Rzzar. I served as the Master of Magicks at the Academy of Heroes, back when it was at its prime, and I also served as ruling Lord of both Edgeville and Taverley at different points in time. It is to my understanding that the seat of ruling Lord of Edgeville is currently vacant. It would be my deepest honor to be considered for the position. As a newly established King, I would imagine that you are quite busy, hence a letter rather than a personal appearance. If you would like to discuss the matter further, you may send a courier to me at my home in Taverley. I eagerly await for a reply.

In condemnation of the Ordo Magi,

Let the entire kingdom and it's denizens be advised that the magical organization knows as Ordo Magi, those adhering to a tenet of magocracy supremacy, are hereby and henceforth banned from the Kingdom of Misthalin under pain of execution. Upon discovery of affiliation, members identifying with said organization will be immediately executed under Misthalinian Justice without trial, so long as the proceeding is carried out by a representative of Misthalin's law such as city guards, nobility, Royal Guards, and any of those found to be within the favor of the Crown. Those unaffiliated with Misthalin Law who execute said members must come before the King or Queen to provide their account of the execution so the Crown may have an inquiry to judge whether said member was justified in their actions. Otherwise, this member shall face legal action. Though, let the issue not be confused with lawful bounty. Any person found to have lawfully killed a member of the Ordo Magi shall be compensated with a sum of money based upon the reputation of the outlaw they've executed.

Because of the powerful nature of the Ordo Magi, no member of the group may be held for ransom, captured, or imprisoned, by any one of Misthalin's denizens unless otherwise ordered to do so by a member of the Royal Family. This group is unpredictable and infamous for the ruthless murder of many magical practitioners. Any individual found sheltering members of the Ordo Magi shall also summarily be executed along with the outlaw. Their holdings will be confiscated by the Crown and their incomes, if within the kingdom's borders, shall be garnished and placed in a private coffer under the discretion of the Crown.

This decree shall be implemented immediately.
