Very good job. I appreciate your snappy response to Seren's arrival and your caution regarding her song. I will take all of this in to consideration, and I agree that caution is the best course of action regarding this. Any time a God arrives in a human settlement to gather figureheads, there's trouble on the horizon. However, I need you to remember that Seren is not our enemy. The Elves are not a threat, and in fact our strongest tools came from them. After Sliske's death, the gods aren't warring anymore, and the focus has shifted from who's worshipped more to the black stones. I'm going to put my money down on this being another such case. Keep a close eye on them for now. I'll be visiting personally as both a show of good faith, and to ensure we're kept in the know about what's going on in our own front yard.

Request for a strike team is denied. Your reconnaissance won't need any offensive action. Seren's presence there is more of a blessing than you might realize - it gives Duchess Gallowood a much-needed reprieve from the trolls that sit on the mountainside.

Keep me posted,
Jeoffrey

Stormclouds approach Port Sarim from afar. Though you know how to weather inclement conditions, something about this coming downpour seems odd. Something sinister was definitely on its way.

Consider this a 24 hour notice of a declaration of war. Feel free to reach out regarding specifics. More to follow in the coming days.
All that for a pile of bricks.

Despite having just told you in discord, I'm also posting a reply here so it's publicly recorded;

We're currently busy with one of Klitty's plotlines regarding a demonic invasion, and another not-as-extreme plot tying up loose ends with the Seraphite/Antiga plot Lily started a few years ago. I appreciate the offer of another antagonist plot, but we're going to have to decline. When things wrap up we'd be happy to get involved, but you'll have to start your plot elsewhere. Sorry, Cas.

As the couriers arrived with their usual deliveries of mail, amongst it all was a large package, wrapped in brown paper and bound in twine. Curiously, it lacked any delivery details, with the address rubber-stamped on. Cautiously unwrapped, there was confusion as to the contents.

It was a murky green grimoire that appeared to be well-used, suffering from scuffs and soot marking, but still within our lifetime. Decorated in knot-style gold embossment along the corners and edges, a impressive central seal stood out in the middle that contained three icons in a trinity alignment.

The bottom-left icon of the trinity was immediately identifiable to anyone with knowledge of the recent events of Gilenior. Seren’s diamond, also known as a sign of life. On its opposite was a lesser-known symbol: A rotated cross, contained within a circle, with 4 points in a cross along its perimeter. Only those who have dealt with Ancient history or knowledge would know about it. The final one, above the first two, seemed to be a celtic-style hybrid of the two, but not mutually exclusive; a third culture that was synonymous with the styling of the grimore’s cover had influenced the design.

Around this seal was a embossed script, faded away and only visible by the subtlety of shadows that danced in its crevices. Old words from the days of the Second Age, when translated into the common tongue held a cryptic riddle.

“Influence multiplied by Time equates to Power. This is for when the end of their days must come.”

Not much more could be pried from the grimoire, except that apparently the end of days was not nigh; it would not budge by any degree of force, despite the lack of a lock. Enchanted to an obscene degree, anyone stupid enough to force it open suffered a short term of paralysis, and magical probes were met with a nasty rebound of mystic energies. Even fire could not scorch the surface.

Why was it sent to us? Only Time will tell...

Hey, Gladiatocs. You got a problem? It looks like you do. Though, I think you're a bit lost, because this isn't the place for that. Appreciate the attempt though. The Sicarius |

WARNING; SPOILER HEAVY FOR "Desperate Times"!

After a disastrous council meeting, Asgarnian Intelligencer Nicolas de Vaumen returned to the capital with dire news. Seren's song had called absolutely fucking everybody most figureheads and leaders of the various races, kingdoms, and religions to Burthorpe's council room. Word of the Elder Gods awakening to destroy all of existence has finally surfaced, confirmed by Seren and supported by the World Guardian, and plans had been in motion to appease and prove that life deserved to exist. Unable to come to a conclusion, the council was disrupted by the arrival of a Dragonkin that proposed using an Elder Artifact, the "Needle", to put them back to sleep. The World Guardian, Thok and the Kin left the council room and were gone for some time.

Nicolas regrettably stuck around long enough to see the Guardian return and learn that the Dragonkin had betrayed both them and the world, planning to destroy the planet to save the rest of the universe. This has sent the Council in to a small panic, and left King Jeoffrey unsure of how to proceed.

Fortunately, this information has been kept from the general public to avoid causing a global panic, however the weight of another world-ending crisis lays heavy on Jeoffrey's shoulders. With luck, it will end the same way the great Boar did.. Petrified and left to 'rot' in the desert.

Only time will tell.
