subtly nudges in the direction of hammerlocks and various brazillian techniques
Joking aside, I would like to see a bit of work done on that, because they can be very potent in the right hands.

If you haven't heard the rumor, those are in the massive guide I've been working on for nearly a year now, which is only taking that long due to it covering much more than just wrestling.
I didn't read through the full thread or anything so I don't know if you already have these included but I'll bite because my love for hand to hand combat is actually limitless. I actually name-changed one of my youtube playlists for your viewing convenience and you can find it by searching "W42 combat vid references".
I am going to break your arm so that the bone juts out and then I will stab you to death with your own insides. I will win this chess game, is what I am saying.

It's true. They're sweet. Makes me wanna take a martial art again.

Lor,
Thanks. I'll start looking into it, as hand-to-hand is the stuff I actually need to work the most on.
Marsh,
I took Shinsei Kenpo for awhile. Still spar off with friends who still attend the dojo to keep in good shape.
Throw over the Shoulder
Approaching from a run: grab the right hand with your left, with a tight grip. Ducking under the right arm, pull your left hand after you while using the right hand to seize the right thigh. Using the momentum from the run even further, throw the opponent over the shoulders and onto his/her head.
*Sicarius, running toward Enemy, reached out to try seizing Enemy's right hand--
--with the left hand tightly. From there Sicarius would duck through under the--
--right arm, passing his left hand through and seizing the thigh with the --
--right hand, seeking to throw Enemy from the shoulders onto his head with a--
--skull-fracturing impact.*
I was reading the guide over once more, and saw some nice things to discuss.
The move described above appears to start off like a Shihonage throw. However, grabbing the thigh is a bit unnecessary. The original Shihonage was invented during the Japanese Sino war, where enlisted martial artists tested new techniques on POWS, holding contests with cash prizes to see who could kill a man with the fewest number of blows.
This one got the most kills. Once you've locked the arm, keeping it in tight so that it doesn't snap to the side and ruin the throw, you should just jerk them backwards directly into the ground. Their heels act like a pivot, accelerating their upper body as they lose their balance and arch backwards.
I like the idea about hiding your hands with a cloak and keeping a knife ready.

Turning an Opponent
Finger Hold
Seize a hand coming at you with both hands, specifically on two fingers adjacent to one another. Rip them apart, thus disabling that hand.
*Sicarius attempted to seize Enemy's nearest hand with both of his own,--
--specifically grabbing the middle finger and index finger, and then sought to--
--tear them apart and thus disable the hand.*
I believe that there is a time and place for just about every technique, but I'd not often recommend devoting both hands to a singular purpose in combat unless your opponent is positively off-guard or disabled.
While you are busy tearing one hand in half, they could use the other to draw a weapon or clock you.
Many of the techniques detailed in this thread end with the opponent taken to the floor. That's a good thing. Even if no damage is done, such a thing puts them in a nasty position. The last place you want to be in a battle is on the ground. Many of the techniques are a bit complex though. Putting an opponent off balance and then giving them a good barge can be just as effective as any other takedown, where you'd prefer to end up standing over your foe rather than lying on top of them if they try pulling you along too by hair or clothing.
