Hey guys, this is a revamp thread for my group as changes were made within the discord channel. This group is still active and growing in members slowly. Please be aware that this is only a revamp version of the original thread, nothing more. This thread will also continue to post role-play that has happened based around the group.
Please
keep any post you make in this thread on topic, like asking questions you need answer to.
Note:
Role-Play only happens within the Discord now, please be aware of that before you decide to join. The group also base the role-play around the D&D system, involving dice and leveling.
Group status:
Not looking for new players, but spectators are welcomed.
After finally settling in a manor one of the Bane-Bringers "bought", a letter was sent for their Dwarven member, who is a Black Guard was ordered to return to Keldagrim, it was urgent. The Dwarf shared this news with everyone, realizing this might need their help if it is that important. Their Demon butler, Bradrerc, would gather everyone available, with only two members missing in action. After being informed about the letter, the group agreed to help, believing it is the right thing to do, while some are in for the money.
After gathering their things and preparing, they head towards the train station and bought a ticket to Keldagrim. When their train arrived, they witnessed how it had a larger majority of Dwarves than Humans, or Dorge-kaan goblins, they asked one of the dwarven passenger leaving about this, they reveal that the city's residents are feeling due to an terrorist attack, believing the H.A.M are responsible for it, some believing the trolls, while the Consortium informed them not to panic, a lot decided to flee.
After enduring another arduous 6-7 days of traversing the treacherous Unquiet Sea, the group finally finds respite in Corsair Cove, a renowned Pirate Haven that promises excitement and adventure. However, as their ship glides into port, an eerie stillness blankets the Cove. With only a handful of civilians venturing outside, the once bustling haven resembles a haunting ghost town.
The Bane-Bringers, their curiosity piqued by the unsettling silence, accompany Captain Kenway as he leads them to Captain Tock, the revered leader of Corsair Cove. Their intention is to offer assistance and uncover the cause of the unnerving stillness. Captain Tock reveals that his crew has fallen victim to a mysterious curse, a belief shared by his Navigator, Ithoi, an esteemed expert in magical lore who seems to be suffering from the same affliction. However, the Bane-Bringers suspect that the curse may, in fact, be a case of poisoning rather than a supernatural enchantment.
Deciding to divide their efforts, the group diligently investigates the crew, the civilians, and Ithoi himself. Their relentless pursuit of the truth leads them to a startling revelation—the curse plaguing the crew is, in reality, a result of poisoning orchestrated by none other than Ithoi. Employing careful planning and strategy, they unveil Ithoi's deceit to Captain Tock, exposing his treachery and the source of the crew's affliction. Bound and incapacitated, Ithoi faces justice for his actions.
Grateful for the Bane-Bringers' unwavering dedication and their role in uncovering the truth, Captain Tock rewards them generously with gleaming gold coins and grants them access to the Cove's vibrant shops and the haven itself.
ï¦ï•Fame System•ï¦ï
The fame system is a method for characters to gain fame (Level) and do quests with certain difficulty. This system also defines your character's experience in quests! To gain fame, quests will need to be completed and you must level up.
Pathfinders
: Are new adventurers that picked up a sword, bow or runes and set off to see the world. They start at level 1
Adventurers
: Are those who have reached level 4. This would get them known by some villages' and cities' leaders.
Champion
: Are those who have reached level 7. This would see them as a champion to others, their fame would reach to leaders of kingdoms and cities.
Heroic
: Are those who have reached level 10. This makes them a hero, saving towns, people and kingdoms from certain doom.
Legends
: Are those who have reached level 13. This makes them a legend within Gielinor. Being heard about by stories of their deeds, some stories are true, other are exaggeration.
Mythical
: Are those who have reached level 16. This makes you a myth. People think you're just stories to put children to sleep or are monsters and muggers’ worst nightmares.
Quest Masters
: Are those who have reached level 19. This gives them a slight boost in fame, being called a Master of Quests. All the story about your deeds is either true, false, or overly exaggerated. You're fame even reaches to some famous folks themselves
Master of Quests
: Are those who have reached level 20. You're known as an adventuring master. Everyone wants to be you and learn from you. But there is also jealousy, watch out.
Note
that everyone will be starting at level 4 or higher, depending on the group’s progress so far. Anyone who’s looking to get higher in terms of leveling are limited to be only 2 level higher than the rest of the party.
EX: If the group are all, or most are at level 7, you can only be at level 9
Quests difficulty will be purely based on your character’s level. Say you are a level 4, you are ranked as an Adventurer, meaning a quest you do will be an intermediate quest. The list is to determined what level a quest is by the rank you are.
Novice
are for those who are Pathfinders.
Intermediate
are for those who are Adventurers and Champions.
Experienced
are for those who are Heroic.
Master
are for those who are Legends.
Grand Master
are for those those who are Mythics and up.
The application for being a player is available in Discord, if you're interested in joining or giving the group a try, please let me know through here. Know that we are always open into looking for a Dungeon Master/Game Master!
• If I try the dice system, will I be given help on using it? Will I also be told what to roll when needed?
Yes, within our group discord, we have a better and organized rules and implication on how the system works. We will always help you in any questions and concerns you do have. But know, most, if not all of our members use the new system, and they are willing to help anyone if needed.
• Seeing as this group role-play in discord, which game is canon to the group?
Both are. We believe as most Jmods do, that OSRS and RS3 are a one timeline game, with OSRS being mostly 5th age content while RS3 is after Guthix Death
Any quest released on OSRS that was released on RS3 will be seen as a different version of said story, or hand waved into being a myth.
• Why not move your thread to the Forum Role-play and Story since you don't role-play in game?
Because the Forum Role-Play and Story is not the right forum for me to post updates of role-play that the group has done.
Yes
, the group does role-play and the forum you speak of is based around role-playing in the forum, or posting stories. This group doesn't role-play in the forum, nor are the updates I post stories that are not role-played out.
• Can I make, or add an character that is related to a monarch of a kingdom/city?
No, the group follows the lore of the game(s). The group is based on the events that is happening now, like the world Guardian being around, Adrasteia being Basilissa and so on.
To clarify, we do not participate in any event that are updated as quests, unless the quest leads to an conflict, like the EGW, or the Zamorakian Undercity.
• How strict is the canon that you follow?
Strict enough that we do not allow Mahjarrat within our group as adventurers. Not enough that we don't allow custom race (There is a loophole explained in our discord). We're also strict that we follow the current story within the game, only acknowledging the NPC rules of kingdoms and factions.
Hi! I was checking around some forums when I saw your link to this clan. I've been looking for a decent RP clan to get invested in, still working on my character and freshening up on RS lore. Would love to join and maybe get some help on that, otherwise I'd love to just jump right in.

Hello, we would be happy to have you! Just to make sure, please read this thread carefully if you haven't already, as this isn't a clan. But, if you're still interested, do add me in game.
