At age of 30, he began his journey as a merchant. At first, he only sells potions and herbs, as time passed on, his trading range expanded. From selling potions to selling various exotic merchandises like amulets, weapons, armour and etc. People finds that he is a good person to trade with as he is quite convincing people into buying his wares due his skills in art of speech as he slowly mastered it. He got the mask that he is wearing from an old man during his travel at age of 35. No one would want to sell stuff to the old man as he is ragged and had a disgusting look. The old man wants to trade his mask for food, as he was hungry. Nuj took a pity on the old man; he is willing to give food to the old man but refused the old man to pay for it. The old man was grateful and insisted him to take the mask as a token of gratitude. Nuj had to took the mask as the old man insisted. When Nuj asked what it does and look up, the old man disappeared. Nuj was curious and put on the mask, he doesn’t feel anything special happens but put it on regardless. And then he slowly notice something strange happen, people are friendlier and less aggressive to him when they doing business with him. He then noticed this mask has some sort of magic that only work on people prone to magic. But he did*’t take advantage of that, he does fair trading like how his father did, as a merchant shouldn’t lied if you want the business keep going.

Now when you see an odd merchant wearing a Humour mask, you should talk to him as he may have something that you want or something that you want to sell to him for a fair price as he is an honest merchant.

Preferred storylines: Adventure, Casual and Trade

So I am finally making this god damn storyline you casuls kept ignoring even tough it was the best idea we've ever seen, now that there are no POCs and more focus on individual characters I hope we can do it

Name of the Storyline: The Lich Of The North

Brief desciption:

There is something wrong in the world, ever since Guthix's dead Necromantic activity has skyrocketed all over the world, and there seems to be a mass inmigration of dark mages and necromancers to the dark lands of the North, to the Wilderness

To make it all worse, a great source of energy was deteced in the North, in the wilderness, a massive blue whirlind in the sky of the North, over the Citadel Of Icenoroxolk, a ancient battlefield of the God Wars, and in there have been reports of dead people coming back from the dead and trying to murder others, what is going on?

Some adventurers have decided to go investigate this Citadel, and if possible, end the threat before it makes even more damage....

But can they stop the Lich?

Prefered Character types: All who want to live and not become Undead

Genre: Combat, War, Adventure, Dead, Tragedy, Invasion, Epidemic, Undead

Goal: Have a good, great cataclysmic event for W41, I think that all the other plots would be way more spiced up if there was a looming threat over them or in a destroyed world

I've been away for a bit so the need for some housekeeping is in order.

Firstly, I'll address applications:

@Godknight,

There's a few issues, nothing enough to deny it, with your application for Jun Sanguinheart. Firstly, green wouldn't be a natural hair colour for humans, or any races that come to mind currently (I might be wrong), but this can be explained by saying he regularly dyes it. Secondly, longswords, at least my definition of them, are two-handed swords very similar to hand-and-a-half swords. While one could swing one with one hand, it's not really feasible to use it like so, especially for anything longer than a single swing.

As for Nuj Grigori, the hair again is an easily explained issue. Having a mask that can make people friendlier to him seems a bit rofly but I'm fine with it as long as it doesn't dictate another person's characters and limits what they can do (e.g. if my character really hates Nuj's guts and wants him dead over everything else, I don't think his mask is gunna stop my character from desiring that). Besides that, remember that humans MUST gain their magic from a source such as runes and cannot perform any magic without a source.

@Luc,

I'll accept your storyline in due time. ATM Guthix is still alive as we've not yet officially entered the Sixth Age (I intend to enter it shortly after the North Asgarnia power struggle (or mid-way through it) as long as community-accepted lore is established in the other regions)

I'm wary of running another cataclysmic event so soon after Harry's one and am doubtful a Lich would actually be that powerful (especially when the Gods themselves have returned) but am willing to make a compromise and perhaps say the potential exists for it to get out of hand and be cataclysmic. When I green-light this storyline, which won't be for a while I'm afraid, I'd rather it only threaten somewhere like Varrock at first. Remember this will occur in a time when Gods are among common folk as well.
Roll a D20 to pay respects.

So, I was asked to make a post regarding something that involves all of 41, that I've had mixed reactions to, some for, and some against. This idea has to do with our current landscaling method.

So, let's get started. When Region of Tales was created, it was decided to make the landscaling we used a lot smaller. For instance, from Rimmington to Sarim is now just a day's worth of travel IC. This method has worked, but it has also left with some things to be desired. If we continue to use this method, then we come across the problem of this: If it's only a days worth of travel between Sarim and Rimmington, then that means (even if we decided to use some landscaled villages in the north) that the mighty powerhouse of Asgarnia is comprised of... 3 cities and like, what, 5 villages? Now, in my mind, that's quite small for a kingdom.

The proposed idea is thus: That the entire free-to-play map (excluding Kharid) is one large Kingdom, ruled by a capital city (preferably Varrock) that simply does not give two figs about what happens within the country, letting its own cities have their power struggles and feuds with each other. This proposed method would go a long way in explaining why the distances are so short between cities.

Opposing Arguments:

(1) "We shouldn't use this because we wants to stick with RS lore so that newcomers won't be confused"

(2) "This shouldn't be used because it takes out power struggles in the various cities and eliminates any wars"

Rebuttals:

(1) The want to not confuse newcomers is understood, but if they're new, then they probably need to be taught how to RP anyway, and adding "Also, the entire map that we use is one country" onto their lesson in RP isn't that hard, or difficult to comprehend. Also, if they're not new to RP, just new to 41, it should be easy for them to understand.

(2) As said, the capital in this scenario will not care what goes on, so all the power struggles and wars between cities can still occur.

TLDR: An idea is to make the entire f2p map one country ruled by a capital that lets it's city leaders do whatever they want. It will explain why cities are so close to each other, and will not have much/any impact on inter-city wars/power struggles

Making a post on what you think would be appreciated, for or against.

@Luc, that storyline seems to be almost identical to what me and Melrond have been setting up, so, i'll say again for whatever time it is now; speak to me in-game, we can discuss some way in which they can coincide. Seriously, the tone of that story app seems like a completely copy of the roleplays i've been hosting (you've not actually been in a lot of them until recently so i'm not saying you have directly copied) and it's just a little weird.

@Merax, I think it's sort a good idea? On the right lines, though, personally, I feel as though none of us seem to follow whatever unsaid lore we have for the world, but, if it were up to me, and seeing as though Dastan has somewhat refused to allow us to come up with lore for other places until recently i've had to fill in the gaps myself through logic and basing it off the old World 41...

Misthalin and Asgarnia are seperate countries side-by-side. Asgarnia's Capital is Falador and generally Asgarnia is richer/better all round. Varrock and Lumbridge are near equal in power, Varrock is the capital though barely anyone refers to it as such due to it's split and civil war in rich and poor and politics. Burthorpe/Taverly are fairly new in the last centuries and do not get involved with a lot of other politics in the world, their fight is against the wilderness and the oncoming God Wars they prophesise. Kharid is a much larger country though most of it is, quite simply, desert, with Al-Kharid being the capital.

I don't think it's that confusing for new players when we tell them that we might be roleplaying in Rimmington or Varrock but we're pretending it's a smaller village near wherever.

A question that should be raised concerns members areas; are they distant lands or close by?

@Harry,

Fidel, Alteon and I had been trying to push that Lich storyline for a while in old 41 but it was never allowed to really start, so there was no copying.

As for the question posed by your post, in my Roleplay experience, I see them as distant lands.

Here's my opinion on Kandarin and everything to the west. First, getting there. They're close, but with only two ways there. Get on a boat, or trek through the mountains. Now, here's an idea. Sea Monsters....would they be an occasional thing for sailors/people going out to sea. Now second, differences. I'd like Kandarin to be a kingdom that has more mages within it's borders, mainly due to Central Magic Guild residing there. Because of that, magic would be even more common place there than in the east.

And now onto the west. After some thought, I'd actually like to see the f2p are be one kingdom. IF, and this is a big IF, there's some small conflict in order to unite the kingdoms. Like the death of a God and the return of others.
