Replying on behalf of Hunt who i've spoken to in-game and cleared the following as his official response from Aeldrin, assuming they were summoned via a letter arriving at the ship as they've since sailed to Taverly, though I imagine the Duke still had spies following them in Sarim so he would have known where to send the letter.

A*ldrin would not have been able to make it back to Sarim and won't be going back any time soon as he and the company from the incident are embarking far north on a dangerous journey beyond Burthorpe's great walls and into the wilderness mountains, of which, trolls and religious warbands occupy. In an attempt to recover Jon's body, find the missing druids, and recover a magical gemstone, he, Harius Pray, and bounty hunter Jun, are preparing for this journey. To stick to their promise, however, A*ldrin and Harius have informed the Duke that one of their trusted allies from the battle will aid in the investigation - that is, if it were mentioned in their summoning, if not, then simply this trusted ally will aid in whatever the duke needs doing.

Having promised that Wallace Gatsby's talents would prove useful for the Duke, the company remain in the north whilst Wallace accepts the letter given to him, informing him to approach the Duke about the demand.

As I've been unable to get on at the same time as Harry to start the Duke's storyline, I am suggesting we expand regardless.

I'll still be running the Duke's storyline ASAP with Harry and anyone else interested in the murder mystery plot but am going to take a step back from the immediate events of places outside of Asgarnia.

I'll be overseeing the power struggle storyline I've set up for North Asgarnia and implore people to start looking at other areas and establishing lore, of which we will agree upon as a community before anything is concrete, for these other regions. Remember to propose your idea first and wait for a general okay before persuing it; even if no one suggests an alternative, your idea may still not be desired for the majority.

I want to use the rest of this post to explain the First Watch whom I mentioned recently:

The First Watch are a branch of Port Sarim's guard considered to be it's local law enforcement. Similar to real-world police, they patrol the city and investigate cases. They were first formed over a century ago during a vast migration period for Sarim; folklore states they held first watch and saved the city from bandits for which each member of the guard was awarded with a golden breastplate. While this may just be myth, every member of the First Watch dons a uniform of gold-dye which makes them very noticeable.

They're considered very successful in their line of work, only taking in those they consider worthy and are recognised by the Duke of Sarim as an incredibly effective tool in prevent, and solving, crime in the vast trade city. For the last ten years, Samuel Times has led the Watch and is considered one of the best commanders it has ever had.
Roll a D20 to pay respects.

As he descended the stairs, his vision began to turn red, and he felt a growing aggression, accompanied by a feeling of power. The pill worked once more, allowing him to go all out. The clicking of his sword upon the floor began to slow down by a few seconds. Those that would play god would soon meet the demon they wished to create. They could never understand, they simply didn't just exist, with false memory, knowing they weren't their own. The feeling of slowly dying soon after their own birth, then being sealed away behind a soul that was not his. He'd make them see the error of their ways. He'd then reach the bottom of the stairs, the Alchemists turning toward him, one of them screaming something he couldn't make out, or bother to understand, words were pointless now that the chains of morality were lifted temporarily. He charged through them, cutting through the air, laughing. Even if it was for a short time, he'd make sure the /other one/ knew what he was never able to achieve on his own. He'd stop and turn around, looking at his fresh victims. A few would have lost their arms, some their legs. Some even lost one of each. He'd spit and curse himself, for it seemed the other one had held him back from ending them with one clean cut. He'd walk to the closest one and raise the sword. A weapon forged by someone similar to the one's he's cut down. He'd raise the sword and grip it with both hands. But before he would deliver the blow, he heard /her/. The foul creature made by the one that sealed him away. The one that /he/ would protect, because she was like him.

"You're not a murderer, Nero! Don't do it"

His hands would begin to tremble. He dared defy me? The true being that resided in the darkest recess of his mind?

The sword would fall from his hands, and his vision would return to normal.

"Leave this place....all of you, stop this research, it only brings destruction..."

And then he'd black out, the side effect of forcing the seal back in place.

Nero would wake up a few days later, in his room at the Hooded Man in Sarim. He'd lean up at stare at the mirror.

He stared at the face he shared with an insane being. Something made merely to kill. He'd have died 22 years ago had he not overcame it. He would have died slowly, and painfully, burning out a few months after he was born into the world. He wasn't really human, nor was he not non-human. He was merely, Nero. A name he took on when he helped the Wizards Tower.

Nero, a secluded thief, not wishing to form attachments, because he knew. He knew that one day, those attachments would die, and he'd be alone once more. He began to consider himself a god, even though he knew, deep down, that he was no where close. But it helped ease the pain of not understanding what he was, and the loneliness. But over the years, he began to help the Wizards Tower. They were the closest things to friends, after all. Even if they didn't trust him.

It was through that work that he overcame his loneliness. Even if they didn't like him at first, they began to treat him differently. Eventually, his original even started considering him his brother.

But the happiness didn't last long. The Magic Guild soon forced the Tower to become more of a school, forcing him underground. While he continued working for the Tower, it was now more illegal work. And for one person. Connor Hathaway, cousin to his original. And technically /his/ cousin. Connor blackmailed him, however, as to make sure he could not run.

It was through this work that he helped make Connor's child. Based upon taboo and sin, Connor made human life. It was with this child Nero was tasked to protect. Part of the work he was tasked with. But it was work he was glad to do, because now there was someone like him. Made by magic.

Nero would laugh and lay back down in his bed. Remembering the past wasn't like him. Then again, caring for people wasn't either, 22 years ago...
