Replying on behalf of Hunt who i've spoken to in-game and cleared the following as his official response from Aeldrin, assuming they were summoned via a letter arriving at the ship as they've since sailed to Taverly, though I imagine the Duke still had spies following them in Sarim so he would have known where to send the letter.
A*ldrin would not have been able to make it back to Sarim and won't be going back any time soon as he and the company from the incident are embarking far north on a dangerous journey beyond Burthorpe's great walls and into the wilderness mountains, of which, trolls and religious warbands occupy. In an attempt to recover Jon's body, find the missing druids, and recover a magical gemstone, he, Harius Pray, and bounty hunter Jun, are preparing for this journey. To stick to their promise, however, A*ldrin and Harius have informed the Duke that one of their trusted allies from the battle will aid in the investigation - that is, if it were mentioned in their summoning, if not, then simply this trusted ally will aid in whatever the duke needs doing.
Having promised that Wallace Gatsby's talents would prove useful for the Duke, the company remain in the north whilst Wallace accepts the letter given to him, informing him to approach the Duke about the demand.
