I for one was fine with playing subordinate characters.

Well, that's ominous. I'm curious on what solutions you have in mind. Not that it really concerns me anymore.

Regardless, the entire point you make about roleplay being dead, smashed, destroyed and the remains burned is specifically caused by issues like the one you and two others have created. Rule breaking and ignoring the reaction as best as you can is the problem. Please realize this.
Certainly, part of the problem, but it's a large stretch to pin it on three specific people. It's
definitely
more than just that - it's OOC behavior and general toxicity too, hence why I left.

2. Rule breaking is the issue, I accept that. One that we are resolving by removing you and your group from any position that gives you the oppotunity to continue doing so as you have done for the past... Well let's just say 5 years minimum?
That isn't a solution - that's charging headfirst into a brick wall. Something will break, sure - but I don't think it's what you're intending.
"Legacy. What is a legacy? It's planting seeds in a garden you never get to see."
Fgods had to get involved on the thread that lists mentors because certain people don't want to play nice. at least it's a step in the right direction.
WAAAGH!!!

3. You have not yet come close to admitting to your flaws on this server and frankly I personally will never accept you as a roleplayer until that happens.
I don't really know why I've been drawn back into this again but yeesh I gotta highlight this.
This attitude is disgusting. Pyro infamously breaks the rules. He's the go to example of somebody who isnt skilled or personable enough to create a story others rally to, yet his ego insists he has to be a ruler. So what does Pyro do? He breaksn the rules to try and get his way. He plays OP characters, he pushes you to a situation where its you or him, character death or character death, and when he dies he ignores it but should you die, he'll hold it over you for the rest of your life.
This is the man, who to finally get control of a POK, had to create an alternate account and pretend to be somebody else. When it was a 'new face' we gave his mistakes a by, we let him do incorrect things and rule break and tried to politely correct him because he was 'new'. Pyro took this acceptance as justification that people have a stigma against him, when in reality theres just a huge difference between mistakes with the rules from a new roleplayer and one who's been about for years and years and has a track record of repeatedly making those mistakes with no effort to better himself.
And you know what? I still turned up to RP in Pyro's Misthalin - because if he's roleplaying, and not breaking the rules, then it's just roleplay and who cares. But for him to post this sort of stuff, especially his third point here, where he sits on some high horse and refuses to accept another roleplayer over a track record? Man, talk about hypocritical.

Everybody wants an Empire.
I honestly prefer being a second-in-command or a smaller role. I enjoy being a minor noble far more than I enjoy being a King. I enjoy being a Lord in the Kinshra, but only when there are other Lords and a Baron with which to have political tension. I'm not really made for leading, it's too much effort and micromanagement. I want a clan where I can roleplay my character, and interact with others within the rules. Sometimes I ran things when others wouldn't and it was the only way to get that Rp, e.g Kharid, but those have never been my favourite roles.
I think the people who demand control are the people like Pyro. Feel bad throwing him under the bust two posts in a row, but hes the prime example and a key figure in the side of things your advocating for. He's for as long as I can remember tried to shoehorn himself into control of every POK in existance. I wouldn't even mind that though, it would give the clans antagonism and an enemy and something to roleplay around. Issue is, Pyro always broke the rules and it was no fun. So again, your issue just comes down to rule breaking.
I think we all need to stop pointing fingers and realise what's actually gone wrong. Everything else aside, all these points you squabble over, they all just come down to an inability to follow the rules. Old Poks werent perfect, but nothing perfect. Any group, irl or online, has drama. That's human nature. The difference is its usually manageable and there are consequences for acting out of turn. Perhaps thats hypocritical of me to say, considering some of my OOC conduct this last year, but again despite you not accepting my reasoning, if the rules were kept regarding roleplay, I wouldn't be getting myself banned and missing out would I?

In my head, I begin to wonder "Why can't we all just be friends?". It would honestly seem that any of the grudges that are being held are potentially sort of... for lack of a better description, puerile. If just being friends is too much to ask,
at least
be civil and be able to discuss with each other.
If we all could just step up to the plate, agree to actually be reasonable and compromise, we'd all benefit, from the small man to the big wigs.
I would like to encourage everyone to admit to maybe just one thing they've done that could be considered wrong or negatively impacting, just to demonstrate we're not all perfect. I would respect people more for their admissions, rather than laugh and judge them, and I hope you'll do the same for me.
For instance, I often used to (and occasionally still) will get bored of plots, and will completely turn off from them, essentially just letting myself get pulled through without putting much effort into it, generally detracting from the overall enjoyment and quality for myself and others. It's something I'm working on and generally think I'm getting rid of this bad habit.
I'd also like to theorize just one last thing, and that's maybe the reason all this drama is still ongoing is perhaps due to certain parties somehow
enjoying
the conflict that is made, whether this be at the expense of others or not. If this is true, I'd be disappointed extremely, because I can guarantee the vast majority of 42 does not enjoy it. We can here to roleplay, not bicker and act like we're immature high schoolers.
