I think part of the tradition of the New Year is the massive amount of resolutioners who include fitness goals as part of their New Year's Resolution.
So to promote and encourage each other to exercising I want to ask:
"What exercise did
YOU
do today!"
You can say as much or as little as you want by sharing your fitness goals or your fitness journey, and we can follow your journey on how you are progressing over the time period you aim to achieve your goal!

I'll start: Today I had a really powerful leg workout which involved barbell squats, hip thrusts, Bulgarian split squats, cable kickbacks, and a 10 minute core blast, followed by a cool down.
The extent of my exercise is basically cycling to and from the city centre. That is about an hour both ways. I typically only do that on weekdays and as long as it's not really pouring with rain.

Truly to be the most delicious is to wield this power. The power to create and destroy. And as the most delicious of gods, I am the font of this delicious power. From me spills all the deliciousness in creation.

repeatedly lifting a full glass of wine counts right?? right???
Remember Caz. Never argue with an idiot. They will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.
Because of my bad back and bad arthritis. I have to do daily workouts or I go too stiff and get a lot of pain.
I have to do a workout in the morning to stretch my back and neck and do the same before bed.
If I don't do this and even miss a day I'm in far too much pain the day after.
In my younger days I did 16-20 hours per week at the gym and did everything I could. Today nope I'd be lucky to do 16-20 mins without falling over lol.
I do miss the gym so much and hope 1 day to go back. Fingers crossed.
Other things I do is take my dog for a walk. Put her in the car and drive about 1/2 mile to the fields she really does like running about in them.

nice idea... i will run a little on treadmill today because of this thread
Great to hear! So glad that this thread can inspire our community to exercise and track our fitness journeys!
I also went for a run today, did a nice 10km around my area which was really nice to do. It's something that I'm really starting to take up more, and is actually quite nice and therapeutic if you run to a park and read a book, then run back.

That's a good, efficient, and sustainable way to get into your exercise, by cycling to work! I have a lot of friends that do this, in fact in Denmark this is the primary way to commute to work! Happy for you that this is something that works for you
