2nd day, I did 5 minute rowing, 10 minute fast-pace walking, 5 minute ski, and lastly 5 more minutes on the rowing machine. Really got me sweating.
My friend was too tired to come in today, but he went in the evening, hopefully he will be able to during the day this Friday.
I hope you manage to get back in the gym with your friend too, it's a great way of pushing each other all the way!

I might go for a walk around 2pm, I need to escape the loud banging of kitchen refitting.

I dropped my car off at the garage and walked to the bus stop which was about 1.5 miles away. Enjoyed that walk.
Got off bus in town walked to other side of town about 3/4 mile to next stop and bus home. Then from bus stop to house about 1/2 mile.
So did a bit of walking today just under 3 miles and enjoyed it. Also it was crisp outside frost everywhere.
Kick out the car floorboard and run like they do in The Flintstones

This week I started gym, for the first time in my life. I never liked the idea of having to keep pushing iron, I've done some activities, like swimming and running, but this time I decided to try the gym. Next week I'll be back to swimming too.
PS: My whole body is hurting lol they say it's normal for the first few weeks.
Make sure you get enough protein and equally important hydrate. Everyone always says 'drink plenty of water' but they don't say why (besides the obvious) and that's 'protein synthesis'. If you don't get enough water then the protein you take in won't be as effective.

Today was a pretty good day! Main focus was chest/back.
Warmed up with a light incline jog on the treadmill for half a mile, to build the calves. Started weights with dumbell chest press, into bent over two-arm long barbell row, pushing into deadlifts. Followed that with seated cable row into seated machine butterflies.
Incorporated a bit of shoulders and forearms by doing standing shoulder press and forearm curls.
Definitely pushed myself super hard and I am pretty happy with the performance today.
I went for a run for about an hour earlier, followed by a 30 minute row which was a killer way to end my cardio session. Feeling really good and fit with current diet, and I've noticed it's really improving my energy levels. Glad to be feeling the progress
