Really looking forward to more Mando, I was worried that they wouldn't bother with another season as they're giving more and more individuals their own series.

Nah, credit where it's due, the House of Mouse knows when it's on to a good thing: they must be making an absolute mint just off the merchandising.

Fan favourite Mace Windu will apparently be making an appearance in Tales of the Jedi - odds are that he'll be voiced by Samuel L. Jackson again.

'Variety' reports that
Rogue Squadron
has been indefinitely postponed, and removed from Disney's release schedule.

Note that this was the only Star Wars cinematic project with even a chance of appearing in the foreseeable future...

I've genuinely tried but I can't get into the animated stuff, it just doesn't work for me.
(That applies to animation in general I guess, never been a fan with maybe one or two exceptions).

Well, on the bright side, The Mandalorian, Asoka, Andor, The Acolyte and Skeleton Crew are all going to be live action!

So... I watched the first three episodes of
Andor
. Some thoughts:

* It's gritty. Grittier than pretty much any previous Star Wars movie or show, including the Mandalorian. This is a good thing: it's clearly a show for grown-ups and not kids (heck, episode one features both a brothel and cold-blooded murder).

* There's plenty of politics and deception here. No spoilers, but there are definite question marks over whether subordinates and friends can actually be trusted.

* It's a slow-burn start. I can see why they released the first 3 episodes together; the first two don't end on cliffhangers or exciting moments.

* This is very definitely a human-based show. Unlike some other SW properties, there isn't an over-abundance of aliens with fancy prosthetics; they DO exist, but they are far from dominant, and so far have been limited to background/environment roles.

* The acting is solid throughout; nobody's letting the rest of the cast down.

This is good stuff, and doesn't need any knowledge of the rest of the franchise to enjoy; it stands alone perfectly well.

Yep, I agree with all of those points.
A slow burner as you say but definitely one to stick with.

I love the gritty "lo-fi" feel..

I had no idea that Stellan Skarsgård was in it, one of my favourite actors.
