Hubby had the MRI scan today and the results will be sent to his consultant in about 2 weeks.

Earlier today I saw a suggestion we might get a booster shot of vaccine against some of the variants in the autumn but I can't find it now. I read it just before I took hubby to have his scan.

Haven't got it yet and probs wont for a long time as lots of political drama in my part of canada, My province ran out after starting on phase 2 of the vaccines for priority people then ran out. Last we heard the vaccines being ordered but hasnt come due to some political stuff involving the federal government or something *idk for details as i got sick of watching the news tbh*

Where i work we are very careful plus if we get the vaccine and have complications from it are covered for 2 days so if things ever resolve and more vaccines are done this is good to know. Being young i am at the bottom of the totem pole in this area.

Although I'm eligible and my Doctors have given me the OK to take it, I'm still on the fence about it. As far as I'm concerned, there hasn't been enough long term testing. So many variants of the virus have come out, recently, I don't know if the vaccine we are getting today will be enough for the variants tomorrow.

I'm leery because I was part of a military medication study. It was approved by the FDA, but the military was doing their own study. I was asked if I would participate, I agreed. Seems there were very few who met the criteria for the medication. After a year of taking the medication, I started having seizures. My EEG studies were normal, but when they exposed me to the strobe light, I started seizing. The Doctors said that the FDA studies didn't list seizures as a complication and thought somehow I was faking it. They finally took me off of it when I started having vivid hallucinations. Once off, no more hallucinations nor seizures. A couple months later, I was medically retired from the military for unrelated reasons. About 20 years later, I looked up the medication and now has seizures as a complication. (Ya see Docs, I wasn't faking it).

My brother was part of a Government experiment with a medication. He was in the study 3 years before he passed away. He never got any results, it was a blind study. To this day, we don't know if his death had anything to do with the medication. The Doctor's say no, but we are still wondering. He got ill, but wasn't responding to treatment as expected. He'd begin to recover, then got ill again. It was like a roller coaster ride. Each time he got sick it was worse than the time before. He had gotten ill again and passed away.

I think I'll wait a tad longer.

@vonSageworth...

So sorry to hear that. I'm not sure when or if I'll get mine. I'm not sure about the testing either. My roommie told me that he read the vaccine may have nanobots in it. The article said that the world population needs to be reduced to 500M for the Earth to support life. COVID 19 and the vaccine was a part of that reduction.

I'm not trying to start a panic and I'm not saying I believe it. It's on the Dark Web and anyone can say anything. That's not the reason why I'm waiting. I'm just waiting.

snip .....

I doubt very much that the vaccine they are giving today will be of much use against the virus variant in the ascendant this time next year.

The same is true of the Flu vaccine - another sneaky little virus which has the habit of periodically changing it's code.

However, the Flu vaccine is tweaked from time to time to incorporate a level of immunity to newer, known variants (plus the older strains) - I would imagine that this will be the case for Coronavirus, going forward, and an annual vaccine, just like the Flu jab, will become the norm.

I guess with viruses of this nature it's the best we can aspire to. Meanwhile, the nanobots dancing around my bloodstream have given no nasty symptoms ;)

I think they are now hoping to have booster vaccines that could be available in the autumn that will deal with variants for the over seventies and the categories above

I would imagine though that we shall be on a perpetual catch up with new vaccines having to be produced as the variants arise and the virus continuously mutates.

I wish the nanobots that I have been injected with would make my brain work a little more efficiently then I wouldn`t walk into the room and think `What did I come in here for ?` :)

Had my second shot of the Pfizer on Thursday. Not any side effects apart from this time my arm was really sore for a couple of days. Couldn`t lie on that side in bed it was too painful but getting better now.

We too were told we would very probably need another vaccination in the autumn and that they are considering giving it with the flu jab
