Just read this (extract):

WWW.therealnews.nz:

Covid Vaccine:

- Does not provide immunity, but may reduce symptoms.
- Does not eliminate the virus.
- Does not prevent death.
- Does not guarantee you won't get it.
- Does not stop you from passing it on to others.
- Does not eliminate the need for travel bans.
- Does not eliminate the need for business closure.
- Does not eliminate the need for lockdowns.
- Does not eliminate the need for masking.

- If I get vaccinated will I be resistant to Covid?
Maybe. We don't know exactly, but probably not.

- If I get vaccinated, at least I won't be contagious to others - right?
No, the vaccine doesn't stop transmission.

- If I get vaccinated can I stop wearing a mask?
No.

- I'd I get vaccinated, how long will the vaccine last?
No one knows. All the vaccines are still in experimental stage.

- if I get vaccinated can I stop social distancing?
No

- So what's the benefit of getting vaccinated?
Hoping the virus won't kill you.

- Are you sure the vaccine won't injure or kill me?
No.

- If statistically the virus won't kill me (99.7% survival rate), why should I get vaccinated?
To protect others.

So if I get vaccinated, I can protect 100% of people I come into contact with?
No.

Just had my second jab at 8.15 am.

I felt this 1 lol. Stung a bit.

Now see how it goes for the next few days. I'm taking things easy and doing as they said drink lots of fluids. :P

Some how I feel better knowing I've had jab 2. Makes me feel better. I'll still take all the precautions I'm taking now. Not letting my guard down at all. Got to stay safe. ;)

My husband had his first jab (Pfizer) last week. He said that as he was sat there, he felt the dude poking his arm (he assumed to line up the shot or whatever) and then suddenly the guy was like "You're all set!"

He was like wot.png

He didn't feel the needle, and the worst he had was just a sore arm afterwards. Overall he felt pfine.

I feel it's pretty accurate; people don't know the truth. People who have been vaccinated believe they are safe from Covid, which is not true.

Dong, nobody has said these vaccines are 100% effective and therefore you can take on the world if you're vaccinated (either 1 does or 2).

What they do provide is a high level of effectiveness (e.g Pfizer up to 95% after 2 doses) so by definition they would make you 'safer'.

Again, don't take medical advice from a solicitor. Last I checked, they're educated in the field of law, not medical science / vaccines / epidemiology.

I gotta agree with Joel. Trust epidemiologists and medical scientists, not lawyers.

I think it's a bit silly that in the US some of the advice is that you're allowed to be maskless indoors. I think that was way too soon to suggest such a thing.

Because of the stupidity of the masses, this is going to take forever to be gone. Oof.

Its 2 weeks since my 2nd jab but I'm going to carry on wearing a mask inside shops etc and even outside if there are a lot of people around. Until most of the population have been fully vaccinated I won't be throwing away my masks.
