The problem with speculating on videos on the police is you will never have the full story, the media will only show you what they want too, and the police can't always tell you what they want too. Yes, some instances of abuse will happen, but taking things on face value these days (for anything) is just ridiculous. I'd sooner believe the Simpsons over any media outlet.
Chauvin had his knee on the neck of another human being for several minutes (including when unconscious), resulting in his death. It was an open and shut case to begin with, but now tried in court with testimony including by the police chief himself, and agreed by a jury.
People who live it every day don't need videos or a weather forecast to tell them when it's raining. It's one thing to seek justice and convict somebody of a crime, but another to prevent that crime happening in the first place.

I wasn't referring to the GF video in my last post, That is open/shut and proven in court. I was stating in general you can't judge by the clips. Numerous times I see "Teenager of X ethnicity shot by police"
The latest 2, one was literally stabbing someone, and the second had a handgun he threw away. But the cops were still in the wrong because that wasn't shown in the initial postings..
How the Floyd incident happened is literally beyond me, a failure on so many parts resulted in the death of a man.
I wish I liked Quests as much as I love AFKing

Even after Chauvin was told Floyd was dead, he continued to kneel on his neck. To me, reading between the lines, the Cop wanted to make
sure
he was dead. I still think this was a racist move. I hate to bring racism into it, but racism is alive and well in the US, though not as prevalent, and some Cops are racist. Would this have happened if Floyd was Caucasian? I wonder.

I saw a news article this morning about the Prison where he's being held. Very high security place, of course. He's in Solitary for his own protection (again, of course). It looks seriously grim .... concrete slab with thin vinyl covered mattress for sleeping, stainless steel toilet. That's all.

I'm not surprised, In america a lot of violent offenders go to solitary and stay there for a good few years before release to General population.
Prison is an absolutely abysmal place to be. Having worked in a variety for a while, and I'm an advocate for longer sentences in some instances, be under no illusion being in one is hell. And I've no doubt Chauvin will have an absolutely terrible time in prison.
