I do need to get something off my chest, though... because I do feel kinda bad about this about myself (even though I know I shouldn't). I'm gay, but I don't feel any personal endeavour to advocate in LGBT awareness or rallies—for two reasons: 1) since being gay has been a normal thing, to me, these pushes to make homosexuality a normalcy eventually blended the gay rights and human rights movement together; and 2) there are enough people supporting it, from both LGBT and non-LGBT individuals, so I really just don't bother with it.

I sometimes even find myself agreeing with some folks online who feel that LGBT themes are being "forcibly publicised"—but, in my terms, I just think it doesn't need to be the centre of the topic all the time, and not necessarily in the sense of saturating the public. I hope I'm making some sort of sense... I'm going to assume it's because I don't really follow politics, so it's ultimately down to ethical and moral judgment, rather than a governmental regard. The push to make homosexuality normal (i.e., something that just happens) and the push to make it ubiquitous (i.e., where there are straights there are gays) are distinctive boundaries some advocates should heed. @Chiburu - if it wasn't for the rallies, celebrities coming out, gay ATM's and other publication we will still be stuck in the past in these issues. All the publication is bringing forth that it's okay and more and more of society is accepting the changes.

But it's okay to not attend rallies, voice your opinons, it's okay.
If fat means flavour then I'm ******* delicious!

I give much gratitude to the very brave individuals who attend rallies and can echo their voice to thousands and thousands who watch and follow. People often say just be 'gay' without the 'coming out of the closet' or 'Rallies' or 'mardi gras' or 'Gay ATMs' etc - just be like straight people and carry on with your life...

The thing people don't understand you are not abused for being straight, you are not beaten up for being straight, you are not killed for being straight, you are not thought of differently for being straight - no one gives it a second thought for being straight and I bet if the LGBTQ could have a life like this they would, they would love it, but sadly this is not the case so we need to have awareness through Rallies, Mardi Gras, Gay ATM's etc It's the only way forward to a peacefull life for all...
