@ Tuffty. In England if its been 6 months and 1 week since your second covid jab you can book an appointment online ( NHS website ), phone 119 or check the NHS walk in finder to check where the new walk in booster centres are. Edit to add: You don't need to have had the invitation to get the booster as long as its 6months + since 2nd jab

Lets just get our jabs and shut the fuck up.

Sadly still people out there won't or are refusing to get them. Not saying thats wrong or they have a bad choice it's just what they beleive in thats stopping them.

Just been far too much misinformation and scared them away.

Hubby had his booster and only had a slightly sore arm for less than 24 hours. Thanks to changes in the booking system I've been able to book my booster for exactly 6 months after my 2nd jab. :D

Just heard on the news that it'll be compulsory for all NHS staff to be vaccinated by April next year... that's about two years too late >.<
It's estimated that 80 - 100,000 staff are still unvaccinated.
Who's the cat that won't cop out when there's danger all about?

Would add that this applies to NHS employees who have face to face contact with patients; those who are not patient facing will be exempt from this mandate. While it is generally common sense that healthcare workers should protect those they care for, I do have mixed feelings about this decision.

Approximately 60,000 care workers are set to lose their jobs on Thursday due to not taking the COVID-19 vaccine. This is highly counter-productive in a sector which is already short staffed and overwhelmed. The results of this mandate - should it go ahead - could be interesting...

yeah that is very late indeed

and that number is insanely high... nurses are suppose to believe in medicine so they should be jumping on the chance to get a vaccine

Well good news now sort of.

My Sisters husband got Covid and He's in the higher category because of his health issues. He did have Jabs 1 and 2 though. He did well through out the infection and recovered well.

Now my Nephew has it now thats my Sisters kid. Bad thing is He's not had any jabs becuse he keeps listening to these BS
Anti Vaxes
and thinks something bad will happen.

Now he's got it he's saying why didn't he get the jabs sooner.... He is doing ok though and pulling through.

I've kept away from my Sisters house as I don't want it again.... No bloody way.

Be 2 weeks or so before I'm back there on a Saturday for a cup of tea and cake.

I am looking forward to Jab 3 in December.
