That does look like a sparrow
From where I live we have lots of those around the whole city, you can see them almost anywhere o_o there's a big tree near the building I live in that has many many sparrows inhabited... it starts to get very noisy when it's around evening xD definitely a problem if you work night shift and sleep at day
We also have some pigeons around
I had one horrible experience... I saw a pigeon's corpse on the roadside that's been like... stumped a hundred times
probably didn't see a car coming and got hit
