I like watching birds, although the only ones I see around here are common ones like rock pigeons, house sparrows, mourning doves, american crows, seagulls, brewer's blackbirds, mockingbirds, etc.
Heard a bird calling tonight 8pmish while walking dogs light wasn't that good due to it being a pine forest but I did see enough to make out a small raptor that was being harassed by crows. the call was very distinctive so a quick listen to Hobby which was my gut feeling confirmed it ( a call I can't recall hearing before and with it being small made it unlikely to be a kestrel as I couldn't recall ever hearing a call like that when watching kestrel). Good stuff.

There's always way more birds than you'd think there are, really wherever you go. I found 13 different species within one hour in my old high school's parking lot.
