I think an exact crafting level would be to be debated, but all in all applying dye to something never requires a level. But actually I see it as fine as is, as players wouldn't keep it for long naturally (especially when ironmen are able to craft the RoL for themselves). Using alternative flowers could also be an extra.

I think skill unlocks instead of another skill tome dropper are better in here for multiple reasons:
- Unspeakable horrors as the most powerful ones come much, much, much later in a player's progression, so the individual drop has to be ultra rarish (at least 1:2000, possibly even less): I do not think this is really fun having to go to something like this.
- Tolna's rift is supposed to be a place for pure combat training, so a valueable tradeable incentive shouldn't be part of it - we'll eventually see where the price will go on a long term

As for the rift itself: Checked it out right now - the area looks like back then when it was released 12 years ago (which was pre RSHD, not to speak of further graphical improvements or even something that makes use of NXT), the creatures that were updated at some point look quite decently, but the others are meh at best.
True, But unlike most of the dyes usage, here we are painting with it, not simply splashing it all over, so a higher crafting level could be reasonable. Again, not higher than 11 is a must, but it could be 6-like.

As for the rift: Graphical improvenent is required, in that case. Maybe a bit less than Karamja, but as f2p it should be high on the list.

As for the Tactics: Yes, it sounds very reasonable to not give the codex itself. Yet, I am not convinced it's worng. I guess we'll wait to see others opinions.

Painting the ring: Certainly could be a good requirement for that, yes.

Rift: I do not think a full graphical rework is absolutely needed (like for the horrors) - thus nice to have, but if the area itself and the exclusive creatures were to get new textures it will be massively better already.

/updated the Bark/fine cloth thing once more: Opening a shade chest now always should award cloth alongside of some secondary loot. A chest's material now defines the span of cloth obtained, while the colour defines the weighing towards multiple keys.

Bronze: 1
Steel: 1-2
Black: 1-3
Silver: 2-3
Gold: 3-4

This would surely help to have morytania again as the place best to obtain those materials

Honestly if you like a game so much you ask for that many extra features, buy it. It's not that expensive. FTP should not get lots of features as this does nothing in crusade for getting people to pay for the game, it just gives people more shit for free and makes them less likely to get members. Free version of game is supposed to suck, if it doesn't then it's not doing it's job.

The free version is supposed to tease the game for new players - and if it 'sucks' like you said players will certainly not migrate to p2p, but simply quit. If the f2p game is good (or say at least decent) and a p2p trial is awesome, you'll have them caught - why were they hosting two open weekends last year?

As said in the preamble it isn't my intention to make features available to f2p on a great basis (I have drawn an extremely clear line for that - and the releases meanwhile went far beyond what I've suggested in here), it is to balance out their game - and the low/mid levelled p2p flow, which also isn't as good as it possibly could be.

Consider this especially with the mobile release in mind, which will certainly bring quite a few interested players, which could quite easily be repelled again. And to be honest - someone who wouldn't become member because of a low levelled item available in the free version will certainly never become so. Or do you really think someone would have become, because of the ability to smith knives?

Just realised that the 'Jack of Trades' and 'Jack of Blades' achievements cannot be checked off in F2P. They appear to be P2P-locked, even though they are entirely possible to complete in F2P.

I would recommend sending a bug report for this, as it certainly doesn't sound working as intended. I guess there were a few more bugged achievements that had been fixed for f2p since the release of the achievement system

So, now that the gravite bow is a charge-bow, why do we still keep the gravite quiver? In my opinion, it could be simply removed.

As for the missing arrows:
I made a small document awhile ago, which i would bring up here:

Lapis arrowheads
Tier 45 arrowheads, requires 52 fletching to make. Compatible with the sighted maple(currently, should be made yew) bow. These are the 2nd(3rd) best arrow in free game, behind the rune arrow (and the new coming arrow above it).
This makes up one of the best arrows, and is required for a new type of arrow: hardwood arrows

hardwood arrows

Lapis teak arrows
Tier 55 arrows, requires 64 fletching to make. Made from teak shafts and lapis arrowheads. Compatible with the sighted magic bow, and perhaps the best f2p arrow ingame.

Lapis mahogany arrows(m)
Tier 65 arrows, requires 72 fletching to make. Made from mahogany shafts and lapis arrowheads. Compatible with the sighted elder bow.

Except of those, we need 4 new half tier arrows, which I would like to suggest to make from a whole new content: Fishing!

Crayfish arrowheads
Tier 5 arrows, requires 12 fletching to make. Made from raw crayfish, 4 arrowheads per crayfish.

Fish scale arrowheads
Tier 15 arrows, requires 27 fletching to make. Made from any of the following raw fish: Herring, Trout, Pike, Tuna, Bass. 10 arrowheads per fish.

Fish teak Arrows
Tier 25 arrows, requires 42 fletching to make. Made from teak shafts and Fish scale arrowheads. This is also the level required to craft teak logs into teak shafts.

Fish mahogany Arrows
Tier 35 arrows, requires 47 fletching to make. Made from mahogany shafts and Fish scale arrowheads. This is also the level required to craft mahogany logs into mahogany shafts.

I believe these would be very useful, building up the different variants up to top sighted bow.

Should the Dark bow be added, you could easily use the mahogany shafts with dark arrowheads for tier 75.

Certainly a fair point now, the sole reason why I hadn't kicked out the quiver entirely was the existence of the sighted magic shieldbow. Somewhat unrelated, but what I've read in the recent update forums the chargebow seems to be glitched currently and deals its damage like a shortbow without ammo.

I like your arrow suggestions from a p2p perspective, but they would come with the issue we have yet another piece of equipment that isn't available to f2p ironmen (in this case even a best in slot one), so free players would need hardwood access somehow. I'll refer to this post (and include the bolt rework from page 18) though.

As for the dark bow I wouldn't even go as far, but rather having the ammo a stronger effect when used together (e.g. it deals t75 damage when used with a dark bow and t70 else).
